Three reverb modes, I have to say I find the hall mode interesting, but the thing absolutely kills tone and quietens your level to a very noticeable degree.
Okay so the thing has three settings: spring, hall, and flutter. Spring is like a "normal reverb," the hall is a huge sustaining reverb that kind of sparkles a bit, and the flutter is almost like a reverby chorus effect that "flutters."

One knob controls it all.
Build quality seems really good. Pedal itself seems very sturdy. Sound quality is terrible. This thing kills the brightness and tone in my guitars and the volume seems to instantly drop about 10db.
There is no level control so there's nothing you can do about that.

If this is not at the beginning of your daisy chain, than it will pretty much kill your sound if you switch it on/off during a song.

Unless your song has it on from start to end, it doesn't really work.
Umm... It's quite expensive for such a crap pedal. So no, it's not good value. I mean it's not bad if wierd toneless reverb is what you're looking for, but I have to imagine there's better stuff out there.

.I have an amp that doesn't have a reverb channel and was using a multieffects pedal that had a reverb function, but I decided it was time to have a seperate reverb pedal so I could run it alongside the multieffects - kind of to simulate a reverb channel on an amp. I did my research and picked this little guy.
I was suprised first off at the weight - for being a die-cast chassis, it wasn't heavy at all. I found my favorite setting in the Hall reverb, simply because I liked the decay it produced, but all of the effects seemed to work very well. the response was accurate from effect to effect when you turn the amount knob. I found at about 9 o'clock you would get a minimal effect that usually is more heard at the tail end; and at 11-12 o'clock it blends with your dry signal so it's very prominent. once I got past 12 o'clock though, the more dynamic picking I'd do the more the effect would push through, so sometimes it would throw my drummer off a little bit since it was almost a slap-back decay. with the amount knob all the way dialed-in, the effect obviously overtakes all of your dry signal; and in the flerb setting you get some awesome sounding ambient sounds.
All in all, I wish I could get a little bit more of a dry/wet amount ratio, but this pedal definitely has some cool sounds and can be used in a variety of settings. I think it's the best pedal to replace a reverb channel for an amp and gives you more versatility than that one sound your amp channel would give you.

.I love this pedal (holygrail nano)! I prefer it to the spring reverb in my Ampeg amp. It sounds fantastic and it's simple. The spring, hall and flerb options are nice. The flerb (combination of flanger and reverb) is good enough sounding to skip the flanger entirely if you only want flange occasionally. The reverb goes from very subtle to outrageous. I can't imagine using it much past about 2 o'clock where the Dick Dale surf sound kicks in.

.This is an amazing pedal, simply put.But for anyone using this pedal along side many other pedals, don't use the included power supply! The first thing I noticed right out of the box was alot of "static", so the first thing I did was disconnect the included power supply, and ran it through my Powerall adapter from Godlyke.Since then, it's been clean and lush, and actually very analog sounding. I can't live without it.Also, to the people out there with no idea where to link it, it works best if placed last in your signal chain.

.The nano reverb sounds great it's a very good basic reverb unit, exactly what I was looking for. My disappointment came when I found out that this little unit requires an adapter to work and you can't use it with a 9V batt. This fact is not clearly explained anywhere except in the paper that comes with the pedal and that you only get to see when you've already bought it. To make matters worse, in that piece of paper there's a frightening warning (it may harm the pedal and you????) that prevents you from using de nano with other adapter than the one provided. imagine my surprise. since I live in argentina I was doomed to use not only the provided adapter but another one to turn my 220V local supply to 110V. So now I have a beautiful tiny pedal that needs to adapters twice it's size and 10 times heavier. The good news are that the warning is total bull and you may run it with whatever adapter you may use for other pedals. It still doesn't change the fact that you need one which I find a pain in the backyard but at least I can use it in my pedalboard without the need of assistants to carry the extra adapters.

.The best!
This is the only pedal I gig with. Always been a "straight into the amp" guy, loved spring reverb, especially on tube Fenders. The hall setting on this pedal is about the best reverb sound I've ever heard. I even use the flerb on some of the old surf songs and it puts a whole new spin on them.
Sturdy unit, love having just the one knob, just ordered a second one so there is one on my home rig, and one in my gig bag. At this price it's a fantastic bargain. I never turn it off, just ease back on the knob.

.Played Behringer, CarlMartin, Danelectro, Digitech, EBS, Line6, Malekko, Modtone, Plush, TC, & T-Rex. The Holy Grail is, sincerely, worse than even Behringer! I tried tweaking it a million times--same repulsive embarrassment. And playing a Gibson SG VooDoo (1st gen) through a Peavey 5150 & Mesa 4X12, with Monster Cables, it seems unlikely that equipment is any factor.

Why did I buy it? It sounded fine playing through a super expensive vintage Les Paul in the soundproof room at Guitar Center, and came highly recommended by the sales reps (If they were playing a practical joke, they won).

Now, I play Progressive/Tech Deathmetal, but, unlike many players, I don't think style or channel exclusivity is any excuse for any pedal or equipment to have exceptionally high advantages over one or more styles or channels--you pay roughly the same amount (which is already outrageously high) for each brand of the relevant pedal, and you expect that investment to translate into relatively close manifestations of your original expectations. Hence, if a brand can't do something right for 100 to 200, then they shouldn't do it at all.

I felt the need to save others from my (and Electro-Harmonix') grave mistake.
Electro-Harmonix Holy Grail Nano Reverb Guitar Effects Pedal
.My only negative feeling about this pedal is that it is not a good stand alone pedal. It sounds best when combined with other effects such as distortion or phase. Other than that, it is an excellent reverb and it gives you a stadium like sound even if you are in your living room. I also like the three different types of reverb and you can do some cool quirky things with the flerb. I also like the simplicity of the pedal, which is a big thing to me. I like to make adjustments on the fly during shows and one knob makes that doable.
Electro-Harmonix Holy Grail Nano Reverb Guitar Effects Pedal
.My setup is a Schecter Blackjack ATX C-1 with Dunlop Heavy Core strings plugged directly into the front of a Mesa Boogie Dual Rectifier with a Line 6 Vetta 4x12 cab. The effects loop contains an MXR Noise Clamp first, with a passive volume pedal and the Nano 'verb in the loop of that, with an Ibanez DE-7 Delay after.

This is the first reverb I've purchased, and is one of the better pedal purchases I've made. The sound of this pedal is exactly what I wanted, and in a small, simple design. The Input/Output jacks are solid, the trim pot firm. My only complaints are that the switch for the different effects could be a little bit bigger, and that the on/off switch is rather loud. Because of this, the Electro-Harmonix Holy Grail Nano Reverb gets a 9 out of 10.
To me, this pedal has everything it needs to have. Three different sounding reverbs with a wet/dry adjustment. The only possibly missing aspect that even comes to mind would maybe be an adjustment for the flange in the flerb setting, but that's not really the point of this pedal, is it?
This pedal seems very solid. The body is well made, everything's screwed on right where and how it should be, and I like the distressed look of the body. No complaints here.
Compared to the other 'verbs out there, or at least the one's I've been able to look at, this pedal is relatively cheap. It does what it says it does, and it does it well, all in a nice, compact package.
Electro-Harmonix Holy Grail Nano Reverb Guitar Effects Pedal
.I wouldnt buy it again. I think my days with ehx are comming to an end as they do not have good customer support or quality in their pedals. As far as their pedals sound goes. Theyre mediocre.Lets just say i bought a lexicon and my holy grail has been sitting in a draw collecting dust. end of story.
It has spring, hall and flerb. The flanger in flerb doesent really sound that good, but the spring and hall are pretty decent when on clean.
Ehx makes crap pedals. I bought their mistress and the thing broke in two weeks and i was dumb enough to stick my hand in the flame again and bought this holy grail nano. It was missing the hex nut for the toggle switch which made it a chore to switch between the spring, hall, and flerb. After watching their factory tour on youtube its all too apparent why their pedals never hold up. On their assembly line there were people talking on their cell phones while they were putting the pedals together, which is probably why mine was missing parts and why my other failed in two weeks. Horrible quality and their pedals arent even painted. Theyre made of like recycled metal with a sticker stamped on them. They overcharge and lack in quality and finish.
Its overpriced simply put.
