Product Description

The Electro-Harmonix Nano Small Stone Phase Shifter is everything you love about the original Small Stone in a smaller, die-cast package! It's an effects pedal that delivers full-bodied, three dimensional phasing to add a special swirl to every musical style. Blues boys and babes dig its rapidly rotating speaker effect while Country players use it to add seasoning to their chicken' pickin'. Metal-heads and Industrialists dig the Stone's jet plane woosh. No matter what your musical pleasure, the Nano Small Stone Phase Shifter is guaranteed to increase it!

The rate control adjusts the speed of the phasing sweep (clockwise rotation for a faster rate). Snapping the color switch up carves into the frequency spectrum, hollowing out the sound. Fundamentals and harmonics glide in and out for an extremely pronounced shifting effect. Return the color switch to the down position and the fullness returns. In the non-color position, with the sweep speed at minimum, the effect is not as strong and if the slowest sweep is desired the color switch should be in the up position.

Highly adjustable phase shift effect Rate control Color switch Die cast casing with rounded corners

Change your sound for the better with high-quality EH effects. Order now!

Great pedal.
I was a long time user of the "traditional chassis" Small Stone. Unfortunately, the old workhorse had to be put out to stud. After briefly dabbling in other phasers (MXR Phase 100, Boss PH-2) I remembered why I loved my Small Stone so much in the first place. It is, quite simply, the best phaser out there. Not only do you get great traditional phase sounds when the color switch is "down," you have an unbelievably thick phase option when the switch is "up." I have never used another phaser (including stuff I've borrowed and played in stores but never owned) that is cabaple of the thickness of "up" position small stone phasing.
I was really, really skeptical of buying something from the EHX Nano line. I am huge proponent of EHX and I own a lot of there stuff. But I had yet to have an experience with any of the Nano pedals that even came close to the high standard of quality that I expect from EHX. The Nano Small Stone is sole exception to the rule for the Nano line. It sounds exactly like the original and it is solidly built. I actually like the smaller casing.
It only does phasing, but dang, it does phasing well. As mentioned again, you get great traditional phase sounds plus the soupy "up" position sounds that you can only get with a Small Stone. The pedal isn't "cheap" per se, but it is definitely comeptively priced. My last Small Stone lasted for ten years without a single problem, before becoming the victim of a freak electrical accident. All of my EHX gear is dang-near bullet proof. So you're definitley making a one-time investment.

.OK...third review....I like the sound of this unit...simple and straight forward. But my 1st unit died...broken switch....EHX wanted to charge me shipping to repair it...but MF saved the day and just sent me a new one. So the current unit (2nd one) lasts 11 months and now has a phasing hiss, even with no input signal!! EHX wants 12 buckaroos upfront to ship back to me after i send it to them at my expense...another 10?? So for 22 on a cheap item, I am done. Not worth the bother. These guys have no warranty if it costs 30% of the price of the item to get it replaced.....gonna find another phaser that has some staying power! and keeps on working!

.I originally wanted to get an MXR Phase 90, but had heard good things about Electro-Harmonix, so I decided to take a gamble and ordered the Small Stone. I like having the "Color" switch on the unit as well because it adds another sound option which the Phase 90 doesn't have. Additionally, it's compact so it fits well on any board without taking up too much room.

.Works great. Sounds great. Designed functionally
Electro-Harmonix Nano Small Stone Phase Shifter Guitar Effects Pedal
.I bought this pedal to take the place of my vintage unit... The old wedge with no LED. My old pedal is getting a bit temperamental in it's old age and I am building a new pedalboard for a new amp and need the space. Maybe I'm just getting old but I think the old one sounds better. This one seems to sweep a bit higher on the top end. Not saying the new one sounds bad, just the old one sounds better.
Electro-Harmonix Nano Small Stone Phase Shifter Guitar Effects Pedal
.This was voted one of the top pedals in the world and for just over 70 its better to get than a cheaper or more expensive pedal
It has one switch and one knob that its thats all you need to effectiveness and hypnotic magic it actually brings out alot of my mult effects tones even more

use in sublime combo with wah sounds
add to chorus or all 3
overdrive/distort if you wish

compression even better
Electro-Harmonix Nano Small Stone Phase Shifter Guitar Effects Pedal
.My duo partner and band mate has had the original small stone for years and years and it finally started to have some intermittent problems so he bought a nano small stone. I was so impressed I had to get one for myself. So easy to use. One knob! Extreme example of using the KISS principle.
Electro-Harmonix Nano Small Stone Phase Shifter Guitar Effects Pedal
.Like its older bigger brother from way back when. I am thrilled with its sound, which is exactly as expected. I had the original about 25 years ago, not sure how I lost it. The nicest thing is that this one takes the regular power adapter rather than the old 1/8th phono plug.
Electro-Harmonix Nano Small Stone Phase Shifter Guitar Effects Pedal
.I wrote about this a few months ago...my comments about the sound still stand: easy to use, good phase effect, would be nice to have a level pot...but overall good. Well 3 months later, the switch broke; when i looked inside, the screws to remove the bottom plate stripped...had to engage in some technical wizardry to get the thing open. The interior sturdiness does not inspire much confidence. Anyway, called EH, they said I needed to send it to them (ten) and then there was a 2 week turnaround, then they would send back (charge me twelve for return shipping). So, seems pricey to get a pedal under warranty that costs around seventy . As always MF comes to the rescue...the morale is the pedal sounds good, build quality..meh..MF a great company...I'm pleased.
Electro-Harmonix Nano Small Stone Phase Shifter Guitar Effects Pedal
.Replaced a lousy Akai phaser....this phaser is quiet, nice unprocessed sound, easy to get the sound you like. might need a level and wet/dry adjuster, but for the price it is very good. def fine for gigs in noisy bars!!
