I've had this bass since 2004, it's been gigged twice and used for recordings since and has been solid as my only bass. I played this at a shop back then and immediately sold my Mexican Fender Jazz as the Charvel played/sounded so much better!
I'm mostly a drummer/guitarist, and looking to build my ideal Warmoth bass, so time to release it to fund the build.
This bass (I believe it's MIJ) has never needed a truss adjustment, neck is incredibly sturdy and straight with very low action w/o buzz. Having had two decades to settle into itself, this is a much more solid option than a new Squier or other new guitar where the wood may twist in its first 5 to 10 years of life. This thing is a stable as it gets. Tone is even across the fretboard and intonation is dead on. It plays better than so many instruments I've played at 3-4 times the price.
These are the original pickups and electronics, knobs are Master Volume, Pickup Blender (middle notched), and Master Tone. Pots are in good shape.
As a 20 year old instrument, it shows some wear, but is in good cosmetic shape overall, and superb structural shape. I feel like it adds up to a "very good". Tried my best to get good photos of dings and such, and of the blue finish which is a very subtle sparkle and looks black sometimes. (The headstock front is actually black).
I recently took apart the surprisingly solid bridge and polished all the pieces, so it shines and adjusts like new!
It will ship well padded in a gig bag and double boxed. If you'd prefer, I'd be happy to ship it with the neck removed for extra packing safety. I will consider all reasonable offers. Please let me know if you have any questions!
