1973 Vibrolux Reverb. Circuit was blackfaced. All blue blob capacitors
were replaced with Sozo Blue Molded caps which are reproductions of the
caps you would find in vintage blackface amps. Original caps included.
One mod has been done to the amp. The tremolo pot was replaced with a
switchable pot that disconnects the tremolo circuit. This gives the amp a
fuller and bigger sound. Not really gain just a bump in the mids and
overall fatness. Easily reversible if it bothers you. Or just never
click it and you'd never know it was there. Original pot included.
Speakers have been replaced with Alessandro GA-10sc64. Great sounding
10's that sound like a broken in Jensen out of the box.
Amp has seen its share of gigs. Tolex has seen better days, but the cab
itself is structurally sound. '73 was the last year of wood cabinets.
'74 brought heavy, dead MDF cabs.
Its obviously no collectors piece, but it sounds phenomenal. About as
close as you'll get to a blackface VR without having to spend $2-3k.
Sings with single coils and screams with humbuckers.
Footswitch and cover included.
Amp is sold As-is. It is a vintage amp, and there are no promises the amp doesn't eventually need service. This is just a disclaimer. Upon arrival, amp will be in perfect working order, all tubes functional, speakers have no damage, etc. Returns will not be accepted for any reason other than misrepresentation in this ad. Any modifications to the amp will void any acceptance of returns. Please allow 3 days for shipping after purchasing.
