If you're looking at this listing, you probably know what a Neumann u87 is. The standard for rock and pop vocals, and usable for a ton of other applications. Hit Play and Record, and you get a perfect vocal sound with no effort. I use this as a vocal mic primarily, but also as a room mic for drums, acoustic guitars, there's nothing this mic does not do well.
I bought this new about 15 years ago, and it's been used only in my non smoking studio.
Comes with the shock mount and the cherry box.
Cardioid, figure 8, and omni patterns and a pad from switches on the back.
Absolutely nothing wrong with this mic. Cosmetically, the only thing keeping it from being mint is a very small (1/8") depression in the back side of the screen, which I attempted to catch in the last pic.
It's been a fantastic mic for me. Only selling because it's expensive to keep around when I'm not doing much recording any more, and I have other gear I'd like to buy. Will ship it well packed and insured, or pick it up in Morrow, OH and try it out first. Any questions, let me know.
