This Beautiful MIM Fender Baritone is near
mint with a hardshell Gator plushlined case that fits beautifully—larger than a
standard Tele case to fit the longer scale length. These are VERY hard to find
now.
I purchased it in October of 2014 for
recording projects and it has barely been out of the case. Never left the
house. Some photos are from Sweetwater, but they are photos of the actual
guitar as you can see from the grain pattern (they send you the shots when you
purchase)… Those photos show the head cap OFF the 5-way switch but it’s there.
Here's the facts:
27 inch scale, but very comfortable to
play.
String gauges from 12 to 68 on the low
end, tuned B to B, a fifth lower than standard tuning, so all your chording is
the same but a first-position "E" chord shape gives you a B and on
from there.
Alder Body with beautiful 3-color
sunburst
Maple neck with skunk stripe and Rosewood
fingerboard
18:1 Fender Chrome Tuners
Belly cut for comfort
Chrome Fender 6-saddle hardtail bridge with strings through body
Fender Tele neck and middle pickup for Tele
twang,
Humbucker bridge pickup for a big, meaty rock sound.
5-position switching at back end of the control plate
2 skirted knobs for Master Volume and Master Tone
(location of master volume makes finger-swells easier)
Black 3-ply pick guard (B-W-B)
22 medium jumbo frets with no discernable fret wear
Weight is not much different from a standard Tele
A little bit of some kind of staining on the humbucker
pickup cover… not sure what. It was there when I got the guitar but didn’t
bother me enough to send it back.
Case is near mint as well. Purchased at the time I got the guitar and, again, it's never been out of the house.
