What makes this guitar special:
100% original & in amazingly clean condition for its age! The
Cherry finish is still quite bold & really hasn't faded much if at
all. Being a '60 the neck profile is on the slimmer side & feels
great up & down the fretboard. And of course the real magic to
these Juniors is the single P-90 bridge pickup, which packs a serious
wallop! Rich & creamy tones with magnificent sustain - what else
could you ask for?
Cosmetic Condition:
Really great shape for a guitar that's coming up to 60. Exceptionally
well-cared for over the years with very little wear - various minor
nicks, chips, dents & dings; surface scratches & mild weather
checking. There is a "2" pressed into the back of the headstock just
above the serial number, indicating the guitar was a factory second.
However, there are no issues with it structurally or electronically. In
fact it's in fabulous playing as well as cosmetic condition.
Neck:
Slender profile, one-piece mahogany neck with cream side-dots.
Brazilian rosewood fingerboard with mother of pearl dot inlays.
Original frets are in great shape with very little wear & tons of
life in them. Kluson Deluxe strip tuners are in perfect working
condition. 1 11/16" nut width; 24 3/4" scale length. Neck is straight
& truss rod is functioning.
Body:
Double-cutaway, one-piece, solid mahogany body. Nickel, wrap-around
tailpiece & tortoise plexi pickguard. Guitar weighs 7 lbs 0.8 oz.
Pickup:
"Dog ear" P-90 single coil bridge pickup - 8.55K ohms. Master volume
& tone controls with black "top hat" knobs; original pots &
"bumble bee" cap; 3-ply black jackplate. All electronics are in perfect
working condition.
Case: Original faux alligator chipboard case included - also in great shape!
