Fender American Standard Precision Bass 2004This is a used 2004 Fender USA Standard P Bass in Butterscotch finish.
This bass is in good condition. It shows some wear, including a couple of decent dings and dents. Nothing too major though, it's still in good looking shape. Just nicely worn. We did our best to show the finish flaws in our photos. The neck is nice and straight, the frets are in good shape. The neck profile is a bit thinner than the average P Bass, closer to a Jazz neck thickness but wider at the nut of course. It plays well, and sounds great!
This bass features the "S1" switch, which is a push/push switch built into the volume pot. This switch offers a more scooped, almost "jazz" like tone from the bass, giving you more tonal options than the typical P-Bass setup.
The original pickup in this bass has been replaced with a Seymour Duncan Basslines pickup. The tuning machines were also replaced with upgraded Fender tuning machines. The mounting holes from the original tuning machines are filled and filed down neatly, suggesting that the upgrade was done by a pro.
This bass comes with a Fender hard shell case. The original allen wrenches are in the case, and a Fender catalog, but there is no original documentation for the bass itself.
This bass weighs in right under 9 pounds.
The serial number is: Z4158839
