This Alpha Juno 2 is in good shape with a few small issues.
All buttons, dial, pitch bender, volume slider work as they should. All keys work and including the velocity sensitivity.
As for the issues, aftertouch does not appear to work for me (a common
problem with these synths). The strip likely just needs a good cleaning
and aftertouch is not essential to functionality.
The display screen backlight is very dim but still works.
The volume slider does crackle some when moved. I tried spraying some
Deoxit faderlube into it to no avail. It probably needs to be taken
apart and cleaned. It also seems to affect the stereo output. When it is
hooked up in stereo the left output either will not work or be quieter
than the right. However, the headphone output appears to work fine, and
from what I've read, it means the issue is with the volume slider.
It also appears to be Japanese version of the synth meaning it's
intended to be used with 100V rather than 120V. However, I've played it
for years with no issues, and according to what I've read online, a
voltage converter is only needed if the synth will be left on for long
periods of time.
Other than these minor issues, the synth sounds and plays fantastic. If you have any other questions, feel free to ask.
