I
took this in trade from my friend who bought it on a whim on ebay, but
found it didn't sound much different from his regular PAF vintage Les
Paul.
He doesn't know the exact year, maybe someone on here can help? Figured 71 - 74 range.
It's not all original, has a tone pros bridge, a recent refret, and one of the knobs has been replaced.
The guitar does have the original pickups and pots.
I'm
a guy who likes a light guitar, but oddly this doesn't make me suffer
too much, even though it comes in at 10 pounds on our bathroom scale.
The
guitar plays great, sounds phenomenal.
The
guitar has various nicks and such, as you can see in the pics, but
overall it's in quite nice shape. The one thing is, the former owner was
a smoker. My friend spent hours cleaning this, but there is still a
faint aroma to it. I'm pretty picky about that stuff and it doesn't
bother me, but if you're hyper sensitive to such things, this is not the
guitar for you. The generic case still smells of smoke, so I'm not
keeping the guitar in there.
Any
questions, just ask. I'm located near Santa Cruz, San Jose, Morgan
Hill, Monteray Bay, etc. I could even bring it to San Fran if you knew
you wanted it. Prefer a cash in person deal, but will ship if costs are
covered.
Asking $3000 on it, but will consider any offer. I want to have it sold pretty soon if possible.
