For sale is my 2001 Flatiron Festival F mandolin, made by Gibson in Nashville TN.
These mandolins are probably the single-greatest deal on the planet, for someone looking for a traditional, F-Style, American made mandolin. They're built like the Gibson F5g of the same era - aside from the Flatirons having larger frets, different top binding, fluer de lis peghead inlay, and a different shade of sunburst.
I've owned this one for about 2 years and it truly is a wonderful instrument. It has great playability definitely gets that "Gibson sound."
This one also has a great high-end sparkle that makes it sound good on prettier tunes as well, if needed.
It's in very good shape for a 2001.
There is a small nick on the top of the headstock and a really tiny nick right by the top binding (see photos).
It's in really good shape and sounds great.
Comes with OHSC.
