Ibanez has made an variety of Icemans, but if you know anything about the brand,
aside from the Paul Stanley clone, THIS was the
BEST Iceman made ---the
IC-400, the
"Deluxe" version. This model has a
3 pc maple set-neck
and custom-wound pickups which really emphasize the fat, warm tone of the all-Mahogany body. This guitar seriously growls, and has
great sustain and a deep, warm tone. 22 frets in a Rosewood neck with excellent access from the deep cutaway. A three-position selector switch and separate volume/tone controls for each pickup.
I bought this guitar in August 2015, and it has only been used to teach; never gigged. It has only the tiniest amount of normal play-wear; a few light scratches, but
NO appreciable buckle rash as I don't wear a belt. Frets are in excellent condition. Only one tiny shallow "ding", about 2mm long just above the pickups. The middle dark photo tries to show it, but it's hard to even see at all, and invisible on the guitar unless looking at an angle into the light.
I swapped out the black pickup covers for chrome, as well as the speed knobs for knurled chrome metal ones to give it more of that "metal" look, but
all original parts are included, as well as a gig bag--I never did get a case for it. Honestly I hate to let it go, but I'm selling it for the oldest reason in the world---lack of space/too many guitars.
