I put this pickguard on a black tele and all I can say is WOW. Not only does this pickguard hide scratches bit it looks killer too. I can't speak for any other color but does it ever look good on a black tele. Tele's rule with all that chrome and with this pickguard it just competes the package! The price is high but it does look alot better than the standard white pickguard that shows scratches like crazy. Besides, being made by Fender, it fits.

.Fits fine but picture is deceiving. Looks like a piece of counter top. Mostly black with flecks of grey.

.I recently purchased a black Fender Lite Ash Telecaster, which came with the rather boring plain black pickguard. After a thorough set up, I added this black pearloid pickguard, which really brought out the abalone fret markers and enhanced the overall look and vide of the guitar.
Installation was, honestly, a pain, but once I got in installed, it looks great!

.The black pearl 3-ply pickguard looks great on my solid black Highway One Tele, but it is thicker than the stock guard and I find that my pick hits the pickguard. I'm trying to get used to it and it may be OK, but I'm just saying that I did not expect that to be an issue.

.After reading another positive review on this pick guard I went for it. I'm glad I did. I replaced the plain white pickguard on my black American Standard Tele with the black pearl and it just pops beautifully. For the money, you can't go wrong. My Tele now looks more expensive while still keeping a classic feel.

.This is a great way to add major flair to your Tele without having to fork over a lot of green. I had to have a custom one cut for my Nashville PowerTele because of the middle Strat pickup, and it was worth the extra cost. It looks great on most Fender solid colors, and it looks just as good on two and three tone sunbursts.
