Finish wore off within a couple of days, resulting in surface becoming very rough. Also the Fender packaging arrived open, plastic cover cut, The item was probably a return.

.I have to start by saying that after 1 day of using this slide that the outer finish was flaking off and making a mess of my guitar. It became very rough and scratchy. I thought to myself, what a waste of money, but I took some fine sand paper and sanded off the finish in about two - three minutes and what a beautiful slide it has become. I have no idea why they put such a cheap finish over this beautiful brass. It looks much better without it. Great Slide and I'd buy one again.

Actually this is a nice, heavy slide producing great overtones on my resonator and electric guitars.
