4-ply, 10-hole pickguard for '62 American Vintage Jazz Bass, American Series Jazz Bass, American Standard Jazz Bass, Standard Jazz Bass, and Deluxe Series Jazz Bass. Will not fit 5-String Jazz Basses. Similar to the '62 Jazz Bass Pickguard minus the holes for the pickup cover and thumbrest, and the 11th mounting screw above the rhythm pickup. Some pickguards are notched for heel-mounted truss rod adjustments.

I bought this for the Squier affinity that I got with the starter pack. I am a guitar player by trade but play quite a few instruments. I was expecting to have to sand/file and even drill some new holes to mount this on the Squier J bass. It fit like a glove screw holes and all, not a gap to be filled. This black turoise looks amazing on a black bass.

.Put this on a Squier James Johnston Sig Jazz Bass. Extremely pleased that the 10 holes lined up perfectly. Required a little trimming where the pickguard meets the chrome control plate to allow the pickguard to fit flush against the body. Didn't mark down for this because the thing looks so fantastic with the Lake Placid Blue finish (which I see as Ice Blue Metallic!). It was worth the little extra effort. In some light and angles it looks like it is picking up hints of blue in the pearl. I'll say again, the pickguard looks simply fantastic on this bass! Adds some "Wow" to an already nice looking bass. Excellent Fender product; well made, and looks to be durable. I would buy this product again!

.I installed this on my black 2013 MIM Fender fretless jazz bass. It was an exact fit--very exact! I have ordered aftermarket guards before, and most fit reasonably well, though some have slight gaps around the control plate, etc. Not this one. The color is rich and dark pearloid, and the four ply exudes quality. It does have ther notch for the trussroad adjustment, which is perfect if yours is an MIA. Even on an MIM, the notch does not deter from the look one iota. Moral of the story? Stick to authentic fender parts for ther best fit and look.

.It looks beautiful and is very durable. Just make sure you put it on the right model jazz bass. I didn't and it doesn't align perfectly with some of the hardware or screw holes... (I still got it on though) It still looked cool and no one has commented that it looks off center or anything so I'm keeping it on. It looks kinda rebellious, like it's saying "I won't conform to your bass and it's standards, man!". =0
