This is a great piece for adding vintage vibe to your jazz bass. However, if you are going to put this baby on a mexican or on an american that doesn't already have the necessary mounting holes, get the 11-hole fender pickgaurd that already has the holes pre-drilled and use it as a template when drilling into the body. If you are going to go that far, then get the fender thumbrest too and put it in the tug-bar position (the 11-hole pickgaurd has these holes as well). Between the tug-bar (i.e. thumbrest) and the pickup cover, your favorite jazz bass will have the look of an authentic, vintage 60's axe.(

Very cool, very easy to put on, really wish it came with screws, but they're cheap so no worries there.
