Product Description

Fender's ABY footswitch with passive switcher allows you to plug a single guitar into two amplifiers or plug two guitars into a single amplifier, making it easy and convenient to create a rig with eminent flexibility and a variety of tone options. LEDs light the way and remind as to what mode you are in. Finished in screaming red and built to be stomped.

True hardwire bypass in the off position lets players retain their natural tone without interference or signal loss. "A or B" and "A and B" switching options allow for greater versatility within your rig. Durable metal chassis and switches withstand onstage wear and tear. LED illumination requires 9-volt battery or power source.

works as advertised
Fender ABY Footswitch
.On one 2-amp setup I have that is fairly simple it works fine with no unwanted noise. So I bought another Fender ABY for setup number two which is more complex with additional pedals and different amps which include my vintage Kustom 100 and a new Roland GX80. I got a hum/buzz right away. I located my ancient EBTech Hum Eliminator and problem solved. If you haven't bought this Fender ABY yet you might consider the Tonebone BigShot ABY Passive Switcher. Before I thought of my EBTech Hum Eliminator, I almost pulled the trigger on that one because it apparently solves grounding issues. If I ever need another ABY, that's probably what I would buy.
Fender ABY Footswitch
.Bought this AB/Y pedal to allow me to use both my guitar amps.....Fender 68 Custom Princeton Reverb and Blues Jr. NOS (Tweed). I waffled back and forth between Morley, the Fender, and a more expensive one with lift, ground, etc. switches. I figured for the price (it was on sale after Thanksgiving) it would be noisy, hum, etc. but it's dead quiet and works EXACTLY as advertised.
Years ago, I'd use my two Black face Fender Deluxe Reverbs by going out of the #2 input on the 1st amp and then go to the second Deluxe Reverb input #1, but you always had both amps on and the second one had to be set at a higher volume due to the #2 output being attenuated. This AB/Y pedal allows switching from one amp to the other, or having both on. Haven't tried using it with one amp and two guitars (the other option for the pedal's use). Get one if you've got two amps and want to use both!!
Fender ABY Footswitch
.Looks like a Morely or Live Wire
Fender ABY Footswitch
.I have used this Fender switch, to toggle between 2 amps. An Orange Crush 35, and a Fender Champ 15 watt amp head/speaker,. Works fine!
Fender ABY Footswitch
.I needed an ABY switch to make quick changes between my EUB and EB, since each runs through a different set of effects. The Fender ABY allows me to do that with ease. Have only had it for a short while, but it has worked flawlessly so far.
