I bought a batch of these picks because I finally depleted the gross of hard Fender jazz picks I had stashed from the early '70's. While the guage of the pick is identical to the old ones the Chinese replacements are rough around the edges and are a very slightly wider profile than the old ones. I have to detail the edges by hand against #600 wet sandpaper to get a smooth string attack. Am I nuts? No.. just old enough to know the difference!

.I have been using the jazz thins for at least 40 years. They're great for strumming and you can change the attache by giving them a gentle squeeze that stiffens the point for picking. I buy them by the 1/2 gross.

I tend to use extra heavy for all soloing and jazz situations. I tend to use the med. or the light gauge of these for funk, blues, anything more rhythmic.
Used to use Jazz III now these are all I use. If you like smaller picks, and really fat tones, these are the picks for you.

.It seems stupid to write reviews for a pick- basically anything can work, right? True, but personal preference for a certain type of pick can make your play feel better and more natural. I have smaller hands, so I like these 358s because they fit in perfectly with my picking hand and feel nice and streamlined. I'd recommend checking these out if you feel less than comfortable with standard picks.
