Product Description

Fender's American Standard Jazz Bass left-handed scored a giant bass hit with its introduction in 1960. With its sleek offset body; thin, fast neck and rich, growling tone, it was a raring, roaring racecar of a bass that quickly established itself as a must-have instrument. The new American Standard Jazz Bass left-handed is an even finer instrument; a modern interpretation of a classic built for modern players. Features include a high-mass vintage bridge, Fender Custom Shop '60s Jazz Bass single-coil pickups, thinner finish undercoat that lets the body breathe and improves resonance, improved Fender tuners that are 30 percent lighter while keeping the classic look, richer and deeper neck tint for a more elegant appearance, great-looking gloss rosewood fingerboard, satin neck back for smooth playability and Fender Tolex case.

Jazz Bass body Modern C-shape maple neck Rosewood fingerboard with 20 medium jumbo frets Standard 4-bolt neck plate Posiflex graphite neck support rods Fender Custom Shop '60s Jazz Bass single-coil pickups Chrome hardware High Mass Vintage bridge (Strings-Thru-Body or Topload) Includes Fender Tolex case

The Left-Handed Am. Std. Jazz Bass is such a versatile instrument. I play everything from punk to funk to blues to classic rock and jazz. With a little knowledge of the pickup and tone controls, you can dial up a large range of tones. My other bass is a Rickenbacker 4001s--it does a couple of things that no other bass can, but the JB is more versatile. If you like a smaller neck than the Precision, you'll love the JB; it's a better choice for players with short fingers like mine. In short, this bass is high-quality. The only complaint I have is that the E string wasn't properly intonated, but with a quick turn of the screw, the problem was solved quickly. Such a small problem, easily fixed. Really, this is a finely crafted instrument. Highly recommended.

Fender American Standard Jazz Bass Left-Handed Mystic Red Rosewood Fingerboard
.I am 13 years old and when i bought this bass i was worried that it would be to heavy. But when you start playing it it doesnt hurt your shoulders or get to heavy. I play this bass in a school jazz band and in a rock band and it sounds great for every style and even slap bass. Its a great bass holds tune and is way worth the price.
