This is a good-quality gig bag, but beware: 5-string Fender basses, with their big fifth tuning key on the low side, are an awkward fit. (My five-string Schechter bass fits just fine.) To fit Fender five-string basses, they should make the upper part of the bag a half-inch wider.(0 of 1

It does exactly what I wanted and has the zippered storage and shoulder straps that I was looking for. The protective factor is less than you would find in more expensive bags because the padding is quite thin. As a matter of fact, this is the thinnest gig bag that I own, but I only intend to use it for light transportation to and from little gigs. NOT for anything approaching pro use, as it would allow dings too easily during heavy travel.
