I needed a gig bag for a cross country move, and this bag was exactly what I was looking for. The materials are of the high quality you would expect from Fender. The padding isn't super thick, if it was up to me, I'd like to see it twice as thick. But for the price and the amount of protection the bag offers I am very satisfied and my Fender jazz bass fits perfectly.
If you need more protection, you can wrap your guitar body with a towel, which is what I'll do. If you really need serious protection, then you need a hard case, but for what this gig bag was designed for, it'll fit the bill.

.Bought this case for a Lotus P-Bass Fender Copy.Could have went for a cheaper brand for less money,glad i didnt.It fits well.Has decent padding.Looks well made.This is a Fender Bag so it should work perfectly.If your looking to buy for Fender Jazz Bass thats slightly extended by the input jack and upper strap button,it may not fit so always check with MF.Happy with purchase.
