This case looks nice but I regret not paying a bit more for a "real" Fender case. The quality is fine and it looks great but the fit is a little goofy and the finish is very screwy. Here' what I mean:

Fit: At first, you will be shocked that neither your Precision Bass nor your Jazz Bass fits. But there is a trick--after laying your bass in the cutout area for the body, you have to slightly rotate the whole instrument clockwise in order for the neck and headstock to fit fully. If you don't do this, the tuners will appear to not fit and the case won't close! Really strange but true. Also, good luck if you have covers over the bridge or pickups (as in the big F bridge cover found on vintage Fender basses). The case wont close. Because of this, I do not recommend this case. But it gets worse...

Finish: I would describe the finish as screwy since whoever makes these for Fender uses about 60 screws to hold everything together. The latches, hinges, Fender logo, end trim and even the feet are held on with big Phillips-head screws. Besides looking stupid, it makes sharp, potentially snaggy edges everywhere. I didn't really notice until I picked up the case and saw that it had scratched the floor in my living room. I've never seen a case whose feet (both sets of feet--backside and edge of case) have goofy Phillips head screws hanging out). Seriously, the feet are a serious design flaw as they will gouge any surface you put this case on. They'll scrape other cases stacked on or beside this case. Unacceptable.

Conclusion: This case looks great and is built fairly well. However, the fit and finish leave a lot to be desired. The price is ridiculous considering a real Fender G&G case is available for just a little more. This case is not a bargain. Pay a little more and buy the non "Pro" version. You'll be glad you did.
Fender Pro Series P/J Bass Guitar Case
.This case was form-fitting for a right hand Bass---I have a left hand Bass. In the advertisement it showed an open body cavity which would have suffice for my need.
Fender Pro Series P/J Bass Guitar Case
.This bass case is perfect for my Fender Jazz and P basses. It has the classic 70's type design/logo. Seems well built to me. Time will tell how tough it is, but I am sure it will be fine. I will buy another indeed. Dont mind gig bags but you should have a hard shell case for your instruments.
Fender Pro Series P/J Bass Guitar Case
.I had one of these in the original version years ago .. it was sold with the bass ... should've kept the case ... anyway .. this seems to be made fairly well ... not as heavy duty over-all as the older one but okay ... and let's face it ... all that's available ... shame it's made in Vietnam where my brother was killed !!!
Fender Pro Series P/J Bass Guitar Case
.Exactly what I ordered. Have 10 plus different Fender Basses. These cases take a good beating going from Venue to Home to another Venue.
Fender Pro Series P/J Bass Guitar Case
.This case is sturdy and locks. Has a section for odds and ends like extra strings and tuners. It is very form fitting for a Fender Deluxe P bass.
Fender Pro Series P/J Bass Guitar Case
.Beautifully crafted, fits my 5 string Jazz Bass like a glove.
Fender Pro Series P/J Bass Guitar Case
.Great fit for my fender p bass. Nicely lined. Solid built!
Fender Pro Series P/J Bass Guitar Case
.This case is strong for made in Vietnam .Kind of sad to buy a fender and made over seas. Very heavy when you place your bass in it, great for a young musician ,but not so for the older ones.
Fender Pro Series P/J Bass Guitar Case
.recently bought an American P-bass which came with a gig bag and a Mexican Jazz bass which came with nothing.Purchased the case for the P and used the bag for the j.The fit was perfect, the construction seems to be fine so far, really nice logo on the case and any problems that might arise with the Phillips screws can be fixed with a #1 or#2 screwdriver and a twist.
