I picked up this bass in Olympic White and I must say, this is one of the most beautiful basses I've ever seen. If you like the unique body of the Jaguar, but aren't into active pickups like the ones available on the American version, this bass is for you (the fact that it's cheaper is obviously a huge plus as well).

A lot of Fender basses I've played have had uncomfortable necks in my opinion. They always seem too big and awkward for me regardless of my big hands. This bass, however, is the smoothest, fastest, easiest Fender neck to play on. Length and width is spot-on for my style of playing. The bass is very light-weight and well balanced - no neck dive here.

You can play this baby right out of the box, but I recommend taking it to your local guitar guru to swap out the stock strings, tighten and oil the neck, and adjust the action to your liking.

.The bass I purchased was a mint level return. It arrived to my home quickly and was set up very well out of the box. I have used it for studio recordings already and it is an absolutely solid fender bass. I went with this one because I prefer the passive pick ups and am very pleased with the range of tone I am able to dial in. Bass is comfortable and light with a easy, fast playing neck. I love the warmth of the sound it produces, going to be gigging this soon and couldn't be happier. Would reccomend to anyone looking for a great bass with versatility and the classic jaguar shape.

.Picked up a Mexican standard Jag bass in olympic white. I had a great experience ordering the guitar over the phone through MF and the guitar shipped and was in my hands within 3 days! I've had it for about a month now so I wanted to post a review. The bass itself it super slick looking, great finish, solid hardware. The neck feels smooth and the frets are rounded perfectly. It's pretty lightweight feeling compared to my old Hammer Cruise bass. The Mexican jag bass just has the passive pickups and none of the switches for changing active/passive tones. It does have knobs for each pickup and a master tone. You can get some really neat tones from the two different types of pickups, from bright and punchy to low and muffled. I have it running through a Sansamp pedal and the sounds are awesome! I haven't taken the time yet to adjust string heights, pickup heights, etc. but out of the box it plays well and sounds great.

.I bought this bass about 4 months ago in ghost silver. I've always loved the Jaguar shape, so I have no complaints on its appearance.

The only thing I will warn prospective buyers about is that MIM Fenders have neck buzz issues. I have tried adjusting the neck/truss rod in both directions, but there is either too much buzz, or the action is ridiculously high. If you can deal with some buzzing, the tone of these guitars is very nice.

I keep it mostly on the P-pick up setting because I already have a Geddy Lee Jazz bass if/when I want the classic Jazz tone. I've actually used the Jaguar to record more times than I have my Geddy Lee! I just wish the MIM necks were better quality. Seems to be the case with them across the board.

.Is a good bass for the price, very versatile, too bad it doesn't come with a case.

.Beautiful instrument. Couldn't find the blemishes. Feels good to hold and great sound. A little heavy but very nice.
