I have returned the product for a replacement with the hope that it was a fluke
Guitar appeared to be well made but had a bad ground problem that caused loud buzzing when plugged in. I tried different chords and had my son plug in his telecaster to make sure. His didn't buzz. Only when I pressed on the tone or volume knobs did the buzzing stop.
Bad buzzing problem when plugged in.

.For classic rock and blues, you can't go wrong. It's a simple guitar to work with, but isn't that a good thing?
Yes, this is as straightforward as any electric out there. But if you can't dial in good tone with a tele, something is wrong.
I have a '57 reissue strat, Gretsch Pro Jet, and Gibson SG Junior (lefty models), but I use the MexiMade tele as much as the others combined.
Maybe it's the fact that I'm not afraid of damaging it. The price was great, and the thing can take a beating. This is a guitar for gigging musicians.
Of course the American Teles are slightly better (hand-rolled fretboard edges, better pickups), but for $500 more? I'd go with one of these.

Feel free to correct me on this, but it seems Fender has much better quality control than Gibson these days...well except for the reviewer who received an axe with buzzing problems. Getting a new guitar that isn't ready to rock out of the box is frustrating. But mine was good to go - and the Lake Placid Blue finish gets its share of compliments

.I own Strats and wanted something a little different. I tried the Tele and was immediately impressed. Solid feel, great tone and great look. How much more old-school can you get than a Tele? Well, if you play country or blues you know these are great axes. But I play hard rock and metal, and I can testify this can hold it's own against any Les Paul or other hard rock axe out there. Ever hear John 5? He swears by Teles. Now I see why. Overdriven it howls, and that's with a standard MIM pup! Rolled back I love it's almost acoustic tone. Clear tones, solid feel, and versitility. What more do you want.

.All in all, this guitar is magnificent for any skill level. Highly recommended.
The Telecaster comes equipped with the basic tone and volume knobs, along with a pick-up switch for bridge, middle, and neck. The single-coil pick-ups, while to some are bland, provide an excellent twangy, bluesy sound that bring back the infamous 50's style fit for almost any musician. However, I encourage anyone to have humbucker pick-ups installed. If you are on a budget, only purchase a neck pick-up for it is the most crucial to replace. If not, install pick-ups in both spots and a pick-up tap to alternate between combinations of double and single coil sounds. The humbuckers will grant your Telecaster the ability to achieve both the Les Paul and Stratocaster sounds, opening an even wider window of genres you can play with your guitar.
The solid alder body makes this thing a tank (although I don't recommend smashing it into a wall), but makes it a bit more heavy than its Strat cousin. I chose to purchase mine with the standard Maple fretboard, which is great for that extra zing to that twangy sound. If you are going for the more warm, "rolling" sound, equip it with a Rosewood fretboard.
As I stated before, the guitar is a bit heavy. However, it rests comfortably on your leg when jamming out at home. I've come to notice that the guitar doesn't hold the tuning too well; I've had to retune within a few hours of no usage. But in the end, the Telecaster is well-made and sturdy like any other Fender guitar.
As one of the most iconic guitars in the rock scene, it definitely pulls together the old and new sounds proving to be an excellent, all-around guitar. Even though the American is obviously better than the Mexican, it's not worth that much more money. The Mexican provides the same of what the American can, so save your money.

.This Tele is everything a guy could ask for. Great sound, feel, and appearance. I reccomend this to anyone who is interested in purchasing a Fender.
Neck: Maple (superb feel)Pickups: Tele single coil (great sound)
Volume/Tone Knobs: Knurled chrome (great feel simple look)
Weight: heavy (but comfortable)
Finish: Black Gloss
This Tele is everything I could ask for in a guitar. Master tone/volume control knobs(knurled chrome, provides excellent grip and feel), tele single-coil pickups(neck provides mellow blues-y type sound; bridge provides twangy, country sound), Slightly heavy but comfortable weight.

.As I said before, this is my first lefty but I have been playing right handed for 29 years so I know a great guitar when I play one and this is a great guitar after I did a "set up" on it. You might not feel you need one, just go over it with a screwdriver and make sure everything is tight, as the quality control department is lacking but the guitar itself is great. I have never played an American Standard Tele so I can't compare them. If you don't have a lot of money but want the best built guitar for your money look no more, this is it.
The maple neck is only gloss finish on the front and satin on the back, it has excellent fretwork. The pickups are actually pretty good with a three position switch. I was suprised to find the pickups are not noise cancelling in the middle position. The bridge is a string-thru body type and is very solid. The body has a really nice finish on it, mine is Lake Placid Blue and is a very deep metallic finish. It is a very basic guitar but built very solid.
If you need a very basic guitar that is built very well, very solid and stays in tune then this is it. It is beautiful and built like a tank, the fretwork is excellent with no dead spots, the pickups sound really great so I won't be upgrading them soon. I had to go over the guitar with a screwdriver and tighten some screws, the neck bolts were loose letting the neck move around but that is poor quality control to blame, I can't fault the guitar for that. Once you go over it and make sure every thing is tight this is an awesome guitar. I've been playing for 29 years right handed but recently had hand surgery on my left/fretting hand and can no longer play right handed, so I am learning to play left handed and this is my first lefty. I wanted the best built guitar that I could afford that is basic in features, great tone, string-thru body for tuning stability, very solid quality and this is it.
This is a very well built guitar for the price, not a lot of features, nothing fancy but it is high quality. I don't think you can buy a better guitar for this price, maybe more features but not this quality. You might need to have it "set up" if you don't know how to do it yourself, as my action at the nut was a little high, but I have nut files and was able to file down the nut slots myself and now it plays like a dream.
Fender Standard Telecaster Left Handed Electric Guitar Lake Placid Blue Gloss Maple Fretboard
. I've been playing a semi-hollow body and the change to a solid body was pretty easy given the easy action and playability of the telecaster. It's a nice blues guitar that can also rock.
Just what the doctor order for a solid body elcectric. Sweet and simple.
I had to tighten the screws etc. but all in all a nice guitar. the single coil pick ups do have a little buzz when using the treble compare to the humbuckers on my semi-hollow body, a bit annoying but not a show stopper..On the up side, it's a breeze to tune and holds the tunning nicely.
Good guitar for players on a budget. It has the look/feel of a classic without the price tag.
