This is a great baritone guitar. It is my first ESP, but it definitely won't be my last. Beautiful, great balance, great feel. And, while I am not a fan of active pickups, the EMG pair sound great in the guitar. I needed something for drop A# l, but don't care for 7 strings (I own one, anyway). If you are looking for a great baritone guitar, look no further. This is the one.

.I was on the fence about Baritone guitars before purchasing this but i am sure glad i decided to pull the trigger! The 27" scale doesn't feel that much different than standard 25.5" and plays very smooth. Great feeling neck and solid hardware. I have mine set up with 12-60 gauge strings and i can tune it from B Standard all the way down to G# no problem. If you like tuning low (B or lower) you'll notice the better note definition and intonation over a standard scale guitar. The only complaint i have about this guitar is the stock EMG's. It's not that they're 'bad' pickups, i just prefer passive pickups myself. Had a set of Seymour Duncan's installed, Nazgul in the bridge and Sentient in the neck. I wish ESP would make an E-2 or ESP Standard version of this guitar!
