Where do I start? Ebony neck? Check! Double bound body? Check! Bound neck? Check! Monster tone? Check! Outright sexy? Check!! I bought the white one, and man is it beautiful! The EMGs roar! Weight is not too heavy not too light! This plays like a dream. Craftsmanship is near perfect! I get so many compliments on this beauty! And I didn't have to pay $2000 to get all this. I've played AMERICAN made guitars that didn't have this quality! Hats off ESP! I'll be buying another soon!

.Overall if you are looking for a les paul but can't come up with the cash consider this guitar. It's a modern version of a time tested guitar. Build quality is superb, tones are great from heavy to light. I've never had any issues with any ESP I've owned in the past. I've had an H, another EC, still have an ESP V and I have been beating on my 401vf for a while playing shows and it hasn't failed me in 2 years. This is an upgraded version that I expect will hold up just as well. Get one.
I have the Faded with the Alnico ll pickups. Awesome tone for many styles. I run thru a Madison Divinity 2 head and marshall 4x12 cab. Metal, hard rock, ska, alternative. Covers it all. Sweet cleans and with distortion you can hear every note no matter how much gain you kick in. Locking tuners are nice for quick string changes too. Nice big frets are nice too. But what I really like is the full thickness of the body. Most of the ec's have the cut out in the back that lightens them up alot. But the Traditional has that nice heavy solid feel that I like. It sustains forever.
Quality is awesome. Ready straight out of the box. No it's not made in the USA. But who cares. I own a 401vf as well. And you just can't go wrong with these things. No issues whatsoever with frets, nut, tuners, nothing. Rock solid. And finish is sweet.
Value wise it can't be beat.

.No difference between this guitar and a Gibson standard. I challenge ANYONE to fine a substantial difference. Well maybe the price, LOL. Locking tuners, locking bridge assembly, full binding, colorful inlays, etc. and the color blew me away. I thought cherry was suppose to be red, this one I got is more of a beautiful honey color flame maple, the wood is very 3d. Duncan pups sound great for anything clean to 80's metal, a quick switch to something a little hotter would do the trick for nu or death metal. Do yourself a favor and DO NOT hesitate to buy this guitar.
Everything you need and then some!
Not a flaw on her.
Absolute best guitar for the money out there.

.I love this guitar, and if you're in the market for a Les Paul studio or Epiphone Les Paul, you'll love this too. Unlike other EC models, the Traditional one has full LP thickness and no back contouring or beveling, making it the heaviest of the EC lineup. Duncan Alnico II Pro pickups in bridge and neck very versatile. The LTD locking tuners are very nice. The finish is gorgeous and looks top dollar. The only complaint I can see by some is 22 frets vs 24, but I don't mind at all. I am very pleased with this purchase.

.I don't really like the locking tuners. For me they seem to make the guitar go out of tune a lot more. I suggest getting different tuners like Grover machine heads.
The tune-o-matic tailpiece really adds to the sustain of the guitar. The dual EMG 81s in both positions make a heavier sounding tone. I'm loving the 1 tone knob because it cuts down on all the things you have to mess around with while intensly playing.
The overall look of the guitar is just amazing. The glossy black with that white-trimmed binding. The pearl inlays look really nice combined with the gold hardware. It has a lot of nice cosmetics but at the same time it looks very clean.

.I sold my $2000 Gibson Les Paul and bought this guitar. I am so tired of paying $$$ for a name. This guitar blows my Les Paul out of the water!!!
Amazing guitar! Buy it!

.I bought the faded cherry sunburst version when it was the stupid deal of the day and couldn't be happier. This thing is a breeze to play, looks beautiful and sounds beautiful through my Marshall stack. Setup was fine, although I did replace the strings. This is the third ESP guitar I have purchased, and I realy like them all. I own several guitars, Gibson's, Fender's, Epiphone's and ESP's and this guitar is as good or better than a Gibson in my opinion. Well worth the money!

.Let me start off by saying that I went out looking for another Gibson, and as you all know, that is a lot of duckets, nothing wrong with it, just didn't feel like spending that much. So I compared and compared a bunch of them and even tried out a few Epiphone's (which were actually pretty decent) but I kept coming back to this one. The associate at the guitar store said "listen man, you keep coming back to this one, it's just the right thing to do" (Didn't try to upsell me). I have been playing it as my main guitar for gigs for the past 2 years! Had a professional set up done on it, and changed NOTHING else. (except the strings, Ernie Ball Slinky's, use Cobalt's now). Now 2 of my Gibson's stay at home (to save on wear and tear), and my LP DC Pro is my back up, also to save on wear, and the LTD accepts dropped tuning better (1/2 step down always and sometimes D from there). I highly recommend this with the Seymour Duncan's in it. Great feel, great weight (get a 3" strap), and great sound.

Remember, its not how much the guitar costs, it is about how you play it!

.I own gibson custom les Paul the is better or equal for a third the price and equal to my edwards les Paul I bought from Japan which is made in Japan by esp. I still love Gibsons but will only buy special models now to collect, most of my purchases moving forward will be more edwards and esps.

.I bought the LTD EC-1000T in gloss black, gold hardware, and ebony fret board. This is my first guitar and I only been playing guitar for a week. The reason I bought is because Metallica uses the ESP brand and I couldn't justify the price of the ESP so I settled on the LTD. The finish on the guitar is very good. The ebony fret board is astonishing. It's so smooth and shiny. The three knobs on the body are ok. The is no labeling at all on the knobs so for the newbie I found them confusing and I thought one didn't work until someone showed me what it did. The finish of the knobs is ok but I don't really like the shape that much and they are mounted a little crooked. The tuning knobs on the neck are outstanding. No need to wind the strings, just loosen the lock, put the string through the hole, tighten the lock onto the string, cut off excess and you are done. The strings seem to be good, they hardly ever go out of tune in the 15 or so hours I have played it with the Rocksmith PS3 game. When I got the guitar the thickest two strings made a buzzing sound. I showed it to a relative and he said it was because the strings had to get broken in. After the buzz still didn't go away I took it to a guitar store to see if it needed adjusted. Two of the people there thought the set-up was good and it didn't need adjusting. They said I was probably not plucking the strings correctly. Another thing I noticed is if I hit the EMG pickup it pushes in on one side and then I have to press the other side to level the pickup. I find this very strange and don't understand why the pickups aren't fixed at all four corners to prevent this. It appears they attached only at the middle by design. Another thing to keep in mind is the EMG active pickups require a 9 volt battery. I didn't know this when bought the guitar. I found out later they generally last about 6 months and when the battery dies the guitar is not functional until the battery is replaced. Also, you need to unplug the guitar when you are finished playing it or the batteries continue to drain. If I had known this I probably would have gone with the Duncan pickups. Anyway, I like the guitar so far but since I have nothing to compare it do I can't say whether or not I would recommend it.
