Product Description

A unique combination of crisp highs, aggressive mids, and a focused low end gives Dunlop electric guitar strings a voice all their own. The Dunlop recipe for string-to-string balance and responsiveness produces string sets that are perfect for dynamic lead work, while notes in a chord ring out clearly whether clean or heavily distorted. This powerful voice is delivered in a low-tension string with a smooth tactile feel that breaks in fast and lasts a long time.

Fantastic strings that sound good on both active and passive pickups. If you're using active pickups and Floyd rose floating bridges (and similar) these strings are a must have because they do reduce a lot of the oscillation caused by the active pickups reaction the noises caused by the springs in a floating bridge.
Great product. These strings produce clear and articulate notes. Although it also causes every noise you can make to come out clean and clear as well. So, have to work on improving your playing a little. Sliding up and down the fretboard causes a lot of friction type noises.
Very well made and last a long time, but they are wound kind of like an acoustic string so they can be very noisy if you're a sloppy player.
They are a little more expensive than the strings I use to buy. I have always used Dean Markley strings which are only better in the way they cover up some of the noises you make while playing guitar. With these you can really work on your playing because every mistake is bright and clear...

.Everyone is entitled to their own opinion: Slash, one of my favorite guitarists uses ernie ball strings, which I will not go near after how many strings have broken out of those packages. D' addarios? yeah they're good. ghs loses their tone the fastest I found, dean markley blue steels are a little worse than d'addarios and don't last as long. These are my favorite strings. Smooth, smooth as hell and warm sounding. Last a bit longer than d'addario. I've been playing a while and experimented with many different strings but these are absolutely the best, and the list of pro endorsees is growing exponentially (slipknot, trivium, machine head, zakk, etc) definitely check them out!

.Love these strings. Previously been using Ernie Ball and these beat them in sound, durability, and feel. This gauge is perfect for thick chunky power chords and soaring leads at the higher frets.

.I've had these on my Les Paul for about 5 weeks now and the tone is still very good. Played Ernie Ball 10-52 set for 15 years now. These Dunlops sound very similar but are lasting longer. Nice strings. I'm buying these from now on.

.I have tried many different types of strings. When I put these on my Ibanez guitar, i noticed immediately that these strings were very resonant. They had a very bright and punchy tone, especially on the low end. (i was playing in drop D with them)However, I was surprised when my low e string broke after only two weeks. perplexed, i bought another set of these and replaced all the strings. Again, the low e string broke after about two weeks. i didnt want to buy more strings, so i fished through the trash and found a 2 month old low e string that i had thrown away (not a dunlop but the same gage) and put it on my guitar. So far, the 2 month old string that i found in the trash has outlasted not only the dunlop low e string that it replaced, but also the dunlop a and d strings too. Again, this is one of the brightest and punchiest sets of strings that i have bought, maybe even too much so. They just break too quickly from what i can tell and i cant have my strings breaking during a live show...

.I was at my local music store looking for strings when I told them of the problems I had been having with other brands they instantly recommended these for me. For the price you cannot go wrong very nice resonate tone and pitch as well as being very balanced so that your palm mutes don't bottom out. I would recommend these to any one in the hard rock and metal fields.

.There was a point in time when I used ernie ball's set like this one. The problem with those is that, for me at least, the high strings are too skinny. With the dunlops it feels like they're supposed to be this way. I don't have to change my pick attack when going back and forth between the low and high strings. Wonderful.

.These strings couldn't rock harder. I keep these tuned to C and I get plenty of low-end and my higher strings still attack easy and bend like a dream. Recommended for any metal guitarist who likes to tune a little lower but still have crisp bendable highs.

.I have tried pretty much every brand there is and these Dunlops are amazing. They last a long time, never break, and sound awesome when in drop tune ( i drop tuned to drop b and it sounds insane). For someone that cant afford to change strings every week, these are a very good choice
