Product Description

Bass players demand consistency, durability, and versatility from their strings. Dunlop delivers. Dunlop bass guitar strings offer traditionalists, slappers, and pick-wielding rockers cutting midrange, wide bottom end and a growl that will cut through any band. Carefully selected core-to-wrap ratios yield a low-tension steel string with an extremely long life, and minimal break-in time. Each 5-string set is exceptionally well balanced from string-to-string, and provides an amazing amount of dynamic range.

DBN2015 Medium 5/set String gauges: 45-65-85-105-125 Nickel-plated steel Warm and harmonically rich tone Smooth tactile feel

From the moment I put these strings on my Ibanez GSR 5-string bass, I knew these would be my only bass string brand of choice. Not only do they sound rich, warm, and full sounding, but they are also very punchy as well. Someday I will also try Dunlop's stainless steel strings, but for now I love the nickel plated steels a lot. Before I tried these I was using D'Addario and Ernie Ball, (both nickels and gauges : 45-130), and while both brands make great strings, I find that the Dunlops (gauges : 45-125) are the best out of all 3 brands. In the future, however, I plan on trying the .130 B string, since I've been using that gauge (as mentioned above for a long time). Anyway, if you're planning on at least trying these strings, go for it because I highly recommend these!

.I've used a lot of different strings. And these are the ones I like the best
Dunlop Nickel Plated Steel Bass Strings - Medium 5-String
.I have used these on Music Man Stingray 5, Pedulla Rapture 2000, Fender Hot-Rod Pbass, Fender American J, et al. Good, strong balanced tone and output, consistent feel string to string. Nice tension, not floppy.
My hands do not exude Alien acid-sweat, but I can gig with these sets for a month or so before they begin to lose some of their sparkle. Even then they still sound ok.

.So far I love them , just want to see how long they last . I only had them on for 2 weeks now.
Dunlop Nickel Plated Steel Bass Strings - Medium 5-String
.Over all I'd say if your a quick string changer and only play a set a week or so go for these. They feel wondeful and sound great when new, but based on my experience plan on changing them soon.
These are packaged extreamly well for the price. They come in a sealed plastic special made wrap.
Extreamly comfortable feeling to the touch, but compared to other strings I use the life of these is very short. I have dry hands and keep them clean so I can get a pretty long life out of strings. My favorite strings, are Blue Steels, the Dean Markley 2000 series, and I ofter buy D'Darrio just because of the price. BTW, contrary to what some stores will tell you, Dean Markely DOES manufacture their own strings.
Anyway, I got these for my birthday put them on and within 2 weeks they were dull and lifeless. Platform bass was a Warwick $$. They feel great and I loved them til they died. I will most likely try them again someday. Maybe I just got a dud package.
Price was right, but wished they had lasted longer.
Dunlop Nickel Plated Steel Bass Strings - Medium 5-String
.I strung the Dunlop 45-125 Nickel bass set on a 96' Deluxe Jazz V USA. Very nice full warm sound from top to bottom with nice tension balance, not too stiff or too flabby.Good feel and more finger friendly and less harsh than stainless steel wrap strings. Thet still have a good high end snap for slapping and seem to be holding tension after 10-12 hours playing time. Excellent price for a first rate string.
