I purchased several slides for Dobro use. After extensive use, the top three all turned out to be longer Dunlop ones.

(1) The longer "Joe Perry" version is still my favorite - easiest to play and smoothest yet rich sound. OTOH, I found the short version to be unusable.

Since I typically use this slide on my pinky finger, I wish there was a small/long version that was slightly smaller (or thicker) for a snugger pinky-fit to further enhance playability.

(2) The Dunlop Sardinas tapered "preachin pipe" is the second most useful - smooth sound and a bit more edge than Joe Perry, lighter weight than other brass slides

(3) Dunlop Harris tapered brass slide - more complex edgy sound than Sardinas but not as smooth - if used on pinky, extra weight could be more fatiguing (I added a foam ring to slide over the bottom of my pinky for extra comfort and support while playing.)

FYI: on brass slides, I prefer to play with the widest end pointing up/out.

.extra heavy and oversized..works great in standard tuning and for reaching way up the neck......my go to slide.......

.I use my pinky finger for slide playing and I find it very hard to find slides that will fit snuggly as I my fingers are smaller than most. This slide is the only ceramic type that I've found that fits. I prefer ceramic slides to glass and metal for the music that I play. It's not to rough on the outside which translates to a nice smooth sound. I have both glass and metal slides for traditional blues but I find myself going back to the Joe Perry slide for overall comfort and sound.

.Until I got a Rocky Mountain Monarch, this was my favorite slide. It worked well in open D tuning on several acoustics and semi-hollow body electrics I've used. The outside finish is smooth and flawless, but I found that the logo side can sound scratchy so I only use the 'clean' side toward the strings. I liked the upbeat logo at first but after a few weeks I got tired of looking at it ... if they come out with a plain exterior I'd probably get one. The first one I got rolled off a coffee table, fell 18" and broke on a hardwood floor so I ordered a couple more as spares. Overall it's a great slide - good dimensions for my finger size - and worth the money.

.The colour of the design and fonts not like in the picture.
I guess mine is a mistaken one.
Dunlop Joe Perry Boneyard Signature Guitar Slide Medium/Short
.Fits perfectly on your pinky, leaving your other fingers available for chording. A good combination of weight, thickness & texture. Rich, full sound.
Dunlop Joe Perry Boneyard Signature Guitar Slide Medium/Short
.This slide fits good over the first 2 knuckles of the ring finger. The ceramic outside finish is smooth and glossy for that glass slide sound. The inside is porous so it doesn't slide around on your finger and sweat is no problem.
Dunlop Joe Perry Boneyard Signature Guitar Slide Medium/Short
.I've never tried a short slide such as this.As I've grown use to the length and weight I find that it has a nice singing tone with subtle overtones. The tone is at once warm with just a touch of bite.Overall...a very nice and unique slide.
Dunlop Joe Perry Boneyard Signature Guitar Slide Medium/Short
.So far this is my favorite Slide. I've tried several different types of metal & glass slides but I like the feel & tone of this one the best
Dunlop Joe Perry Boneyard Signature Guitar Slide Medium/Short
.I bought this slide a few years ago, having never played mainly with glass and brass slides. I started using it on an open D blues and it sounded terrible. I found a Mojo slide and never looked back.
