I bought a 24 pack of these because they were cheap, but I don't really care for them. The regular Jazz III's glide across the strings and produce a slightly bright tone that helps bring out the character of my Strat. These things kind of drag through the strings and produce a more dull, slightly harsh sound.

Oh well, live and learn

.Got these along with the Eric Johnson J3. Size matches up pretty much exactly, so may be a bit larger than standard version Jazz III. I like the stiffness of the carbon fiber material, and the flat surfaces are graphite-slick and seem to glide over strings with low friction. Grip marks feel sharply molded and hold tight with minimal finger pressure. Material seems more durable than other plastics or celluloid. There was a small molding spur at the heel that is easily removed with emery board. Size takes some getting used to, coming from larger picks, but these are my new go-to. Appreciate that they are Made in USA. Any color you want, as long as it's black. Wish there were other colors, but that's likely a material property.
Try 'em!
Dunlop Max Grip Jazz III Carbon Fiber Guitar Picks - 24-Pack
.I have been using the original nylon Jazz III picks for about a year now, after hearing that one of my favorite metal guitarists, Mick Thomson, used them. I was curious about the picks, so I went to my local music store and picked some up. I have always hated the size of standard guitar picks, they're just way too big. I also never thought the rounded "tip" was great for shredding. So this pick met my standards perfectly. But I did notice that the pick rolled away from me after playing for a while, which wasn't that big of a deal but got irritating if you were in the middle of a solo or a scale you were mastering. So I looked around and found the Carbon Fiber Max Grip Jazz III. I loved the fact that they were carbon fiber, which is so unique. I'm pretty sure Dunlop is the only maker of carbon fiber picks, but I could be wrong. And the grips are just.. amazing. I barely have to hold the pick and it's secure, without it slipping or rotating. And it seems like the tip sorta smooths itself out while you play, so you never get that rough bite you get with some picks. This pick is just phenomenal, and I can't see myself ever using any other kind.

.The best picks made.
I have been using Jazz III's in their various iterations for 5+ years. I began using them after reading an article that Eric Johnson uses them.

The new enhanced grip feels like a course grad sandpaper and makes the picks impossible to mis-handle. These things latch onto my fingers like Kim Kardashian to a pre-nup.
Bullet proof. Will never die. You will lose these before you damage them.
Hey, all guitar gear is over-priced.

.these picks are way to small, don't waste your time or money, they are made Way To Small to even use to pick out a lead song or play Rhythm guitar.

.Do yourself a favor and get these picks. Especially good for new players.
Dunlop Max Grip Jazz III Carbon Fiber Guitar Picks - 24-Pack
.After years of playing with celluloide picks this is a vast improvement. Each string sounds crystal clear and the grip surpasses all others.
Dunlop Max Grip Jazz III Carbon Fiber Guitar Picks - 24-Pack
.Best picks, no complaints, other then the colour. Black picks are easy to lose.
Dunlop Max Grip Jazz III Carbon Fiber Guitar Picks - 24-Pack
.Like them so much I bought a 24-pack.
Love that these picks are not smooth and slippery, but rather covered with little grippers that make them easier to hold and less likely to drop. They've got a nice, pointy tip on them too, and even though they are smaller than every other style of pick I've ever owned they fit nicely between even big, clumsy fingers like mine.
Carbon fiber seems very durable.
They're more expensive than other picks; the extra cost will be worth it if these things hold their tip longer than plastic.
Dunlop Max Grip Jazz III Carbon Fiber Guitar Picks - 24-Pack
.I've been through the red and black Jazz III's, the Ultex Jazz III's and now these are my go-to picks. They WILL NOT slip out of your hand, and unlike the Ultex picks, if you drop them on your carpet, you stand a good chance of finding within the next 10 minutes.

Once you go Jazz III and realize how precise they are and the level of control you gain over the bigger, thinner picks, you won't ever go back.
The grip makes all the difference. No more dropping your pick from sweaty hands.
I've never worn out a Jazz III pick, these seem just as strong as the others. Super high quality IMO.
24 of these bad boys for this cheap? Total steal; that's enough to last you the rest of your life.
