I stuck one of these on the back of my guitar and bass heads. Just reach out and grab a pick. Mine holds 7 medium picks for the guitar and 5 heavy picks for the bass. Plenty of on-board picks for a practice session, jam or gig. Great item.
So simple yet so useful.
Well made, good adhesive.
Great price for such a useful item.
Dunlop Scotty Pick Holder Black
.I've hidden a Scotty's pickholder behind the headstock of every guitar I've bought for the past twenty years because there's basically nothing else. Sure, they get stuck sometimes and no, they're not big enough to hold the large triangle-type pics or ultra-thick Stubbies, but they get the job done. The little patch of double-sided sticky tape is strong, but not so strong that you can't remove it carefully and it's pretty gentle on the finish, considering. That said, I'd love to see a slightly more polished version of this product, but it's practical and you feel like a magician everytime a pick appears in your hands out of nowhere.
It's like a spring-loaded coin-changer only for picks. Holds four 2.0mm Tortexes comfortably, or more thinner picks. Double-sided sticky tape on back allows ease of mouting.
As has been mentioned, there's some rough edges on the spring-platform internally that cause these things to stick a bit - at least, when they're new and haven't had a chance to wear down. So, they can be a little finicky at times but over time they become like buttah.
A cheap impulse buy at checkout that's worth it.

.Does what it does. Only thing I wish is that it wasn't so big. A standard size pick kinda flops around in it to much. If you use oversized picks then I think it would be just fine.

.I mean one can't help but press down just a little to slide the pick out, and it gets hung up on the frame. Soooo... I will have to get a little file and bevel it so the pick'll slide out... very delicate work on the order of jewlery design and execution!.. then there's the risk of cutting my virtuoso fingers and getting plasticine dust from the filings... cancerous infection or particulate matter into the bloodstream... may not manifest for years.. then who do I sue? Scotty Pick Holder Incorporated?... Eric Holder,LLC?....
nice little item... very inexpensive... will be handy but... I 'm a thicker picker and they load in nicely but the ridge at the top blocks pick removal.
seems like good quality black plastic.. possibly the same material used in vinyl record pressing... they have beaten obsolete recording media not into plowshears but into pickholders! Amen!
two fweaking bucks and I think shipping was negligible... and still got here very fast!
Dunlop Scotty Pick Holder Black
.work fine
way better than the ergo one!

.A friend told me that I could buy one of these gizmo's at Custom Guitars Friend so I took his advise and bought one along with some picks that I needed. It holds 12 thin picks so I was happy withthe amount it could store. For the price, conveience, quality, well worth buying one.
Dunlop Scotty Pick Holder Black
.small and very functional, just right for amp
Dunlop Scotty Pick Holder Black
.Installation is easy, just peel the cover off the tape and stick the holder wherever you want. I put mine on the back of my guitar. The tape holds stronge and does not budge. It holds about 6 picks at a time.
Dunlop Scotty Pick Holder Black
.I was always losing my picks, I had them all over the place. Now I can keep them all together in this little case and they don't get knocked off the stand or table!
Dunlop Scotty Pick Holder Black
. Wow, no more picks in my mouth. I should have bought these sooner. So simple but helpful. Affordable enough for me to put one on each of my (5) guitars.
