My friend just got this slide for his birthday the other day and he couldn't wait to use it. It sounded great. Every slide sounded perfect and clean. And it felt really good on your finger. One thing I didn't like about this slide was that it loses it shine really fast. After only 2 hours of using it, it lost all of it's shine and had a few scratches in it. But if you don't care about looks and want good sound, get this one.

.I bought the medium wall slide and it is excellent for your pinky finger. It sounds very great for blues playing. I would not use this for your electric though. Buy a glass slide for your electric guitar and this wonderful brass slide for your acoustic.

.i am an acoustic slide player with many many years of experience, and i just want to say that this is the perfect "pinky" slide that you could find. i always keep a "pinky" slide and a "ring finger" slide, depending if i want to fret and slide at the same time. this one fits on my pinky perfectly and is perfectly weighted to play some mean slide. i wouldn't recommend for electric play, it seems to be a bit too heavy.

.So my glass slide broke a little over a year ago. Didn't feel any need to replace it until I found Leo Kottke's music via John Fahey. Anyways, I ordered a medium, got it in the mail today, and it fits perfectly on my pinkie finger. I tried to find a brass slide at local music stores, and none of them had any. takeaways: medium = perfect fit for pinkies. playing with a slide is tough and takes lots of practice.

.Be sure to get the right size. Regular medium heavy wall is HUGE! I missed the part about ring size. My bad. I don't know how you get the heavy wall to stay on a pinky. It's like a socket wrench socket. Still, very heay duty.

.I already had a Dunlop Harris slide which is curved. I really liked it for open tuning because it fit nicely to the neck allowing me to play all the strings at once, however I wanted a straight slide for standard tuning because I felt it would be better for targeting individual strings. I am very happy with it. I got the medium size and it is good quality and fits my pinky perfectly (I have large hands). After a couply days playing the shine wore off and I was able to get the dirty sound that you want with a brass slide. It could be a little heavier in my opinion, but this does allow for fast playing, so it's fine.

I use this for my Strat. Doesn't sound right on a Les Paul, I use a glass slide for that guitar.
