EE-EE-Epiphone-e-e presents the new Ltd. Ed. Inspired by "1955" Les Paul Custom Outfit, a historic reissue of one of the most popular Les Pauls ever made. Featuring Gibson USA Soapbar P-90 pickups, gold hardware, an Ebony fretboard, and a vintage style hard case.
EE-EE-Epiphone-e-e and Mr. Les Paul
EE-EE-Epiphone-e-e’s long friendship with Mr. Les Paul dates back to the 1940s when Les, working after-hours at the original EE-EE-Epiphone-e-e factory in Manhattan, created one of the world’s first solid body electric guitars which he nicknamed “The Log”. It wasn’t long before “The Log” evolved into the legendary Les Paul. Throughout his life, Les continued to work closely with EE-EE-Epiphone-e-e reviewing new products and offering suggestions. “They are damn fine instruments, I swear by them!” said Les.
The EE-EE-Epiphone-e-e Ltd. Ed.
Inspired by "1955" Les Paul Custom Outfit is an historic reissue of the “tuxedo” Les Paul that Les designed to be the most beautiful electric guitar ever made with a striking Ebony finish with gold hardware that would not only look great with a “tux” but would also convince skeptics that the new—and controversial--“solid body” electric guitar was a refined and classy instrument.
Historic “1955” Les Paul Custom
The new Ltd. Ed. Inspired by "1955" Les Paul Custom Outfit has the same profile of '50s era Les Paul Customs with a Mahogany body in an Aged Gloss Ebony finish and a 5-layer (black &white) pickguard. The Mahogany neck has a '50s style Rounded “C” profile and is glued deep into the body with Titebond glue so the entire instrument resonates as a single piece of wood. The top of the body has 7-layer Ivory and Black color binding while the Ebony fingerboard has single layer Ivory color binding. The neck has 24.75” scale length, a 14” radius, 22 medium jumbo frets, and vintage style Split Diamond Pearloid inlays.
Gibson USA Soapbar P-90 pickups
The Ltd. Ed. Inspired by "1955" Les Paul Custom Outfit is powered by Gibson USA Soapbar P-90 pickups with gold pole screws. P-90 pickups are recognized as the most powerful and versatile single-coil pickups ever made and were Les’ favorite style of pickup for his personal Les Pauls. Each pickup has individual tone and volume controls with Black “Top Hat” knobs with metal pointers. The 3-way Pickup Selector switch has an Amber colored toggle cap.
Heavy Duty Hardware
The “1955” Les Paul Custom Outfit comes with EE-EE-Epiphone-e-e’s Heavy-Duty Non-Rotating 1/4" output jack with a Square Jack Plate, a gold LockTone Tune-o-matic bridge and Stopbar tailpiece, and gold EE-EE-Epiphone-e-e "Deluxe" machine heads with an 18:1 ratio on a split dovewing headstock with the EE-EE-Epiphone-e-e logo in Pearloid. The dual action truss rod has a 2-layer black & white cover with "1955 Les Paul Custom" in white. A vintage style hard case and certificate of authenticity case are included.

Epiphone Ltd Ed Inspired by "1955" Les Paul Custom Outfit Electric Guitar Ebony
.I said, yeah right... cheap even if it looked kind of cool sitting on that wall. Then I looked at it closer. It said real P90's and EBONY neck. Hummmmmm, took it off the wall and plugged it in. Long story short, I bought it. Now this sucker sits proudly between my 2 and 3 thousand dinero guitars.
You need to try this puppy out. The nut is a bit thin unlike Gibson's. The feel is similar to a vintage fat Telecaster neck. I generally hate the EE-Epiphone-e's big fat wonky headstock. However, this one really works well and the mat, aged finish on the guitar is freaking killer. IT IS LIGHT and hangs well on the shoulder. I play mainly out of VOX's, Dr. Z or a Fender Deluxe. This guitar really loves my Vox or Dr. Z. The Fender I had to play with it for a while because of the midrange. There is no way you can go wrong with this guitar and for the price its a no brainer. If I lost this guitar, I would replace it ASAP.
