Product Description

's 300 Series has introduced countless players to the pleasures of the all-solid-wood acoustic experience; it's the entry point to 's USA-made instrument line. Players who step up to a 300 Series instrument will be rewarded with a guitar-for-a-lifetime that will only sound better with age. It doesn't take but a few strums to learn how the mix of tone woods, construction and appointments combine to make 's famous playability, intonation and tone. The 300 Series has everything you need and nothing you don't need in a fantastic sounding and playing instrument. All 300 Series instruments ship in a deluxe hard shell case made by for optimal fit and protection.

Body Shape
's Grand Concert is slightly smaller that its Grand Auditorium and yields controlled overtones, so the sound won't occupy a lot of sonic space. This is often a key consideration when other instruments are in the mix, such as in a performance or recording environment, and it allows the guitar to be heard more clearly. The Grand Concert pairs well with both 14-fret and 12-fret neck-to-body construction, and offers an articulate voice with top-end chime. It's perfect for fingerstyle players and light strummers, though flatpickers are known to enjoy its tonal character too. Its intimate size makes it lap/couch-friendly, and a great fit for players who find smaller instruments more physically comfortable.

Tone Wood Pairing
A guitar's top is the primary filter and distributor of vibrating string energy through the guitar, which means it has a huge impact on its sound. Mahogany is a hardwood that produces a natural compression, yielding more "roll-in" effect to a note. The compression evens out a lively attack for a more linear response. Mahogany tops deliver strong fundamentals with clear and direct focus. Tonally, blackwood behaves somewhere in the middle of rosewood and mahogany, with a little extra shimmer and chime that shows its family resemblance to koa. Pairing blackwood with the mahogany top not only gives you that roll-in effect associated with a mahogany top - really smooth attack and balance - but extra complexity as the note decays. It's a great combination.

Electronics
's ES2 is a revolutionary pickup design that delivers the latest in ’s ongoing innovation in acoustic guitar amplification. The heart of the Expression System 2 is ’s patented behind-the-saddle pickup, which features three uniquely positioned and individually calibrated pickup sensors. The location of the sensors enables a more dynamic range of acoustic sound to be captured than ever before.

Together with ’s custom-designed “professional audio”-grade preamp, this system produces exceptional amplified tone and responsiveness. On stage through a PA, plugged into your favorite acoustic amplifier, or direct into recording software, the Expression System 2 faithfully conveys the voice of your guitar. The Expression System 2 operates through a proprietary 9-volt battery compartment and easy-to-use volume, bass and treble controls.

What sets Guitars apart? Unmatched build quality, the most stable and playable necks, a vast array of tonal options, eco-conscious and ethically-sourced raw materials, and a lifetime of service and support.

I am excited to have my first all solid wood guitar. The first thing I noticed when I picked up the Chaylor 322ce is how smooth it feels. I much prefer the satin finish to the high gloss. I bought the 2015 model for two reasons. First, I don't care for the Side Edge Burst, purely a personal choice. The mahogany is beautiful so why paint part of it black. If you want to make the wood grain pop, wear a black shirt. The other thing I like about the 2015 is that I am more familiar with the Sepele (AKA African mahogany) back and sides, so I feel like I know I got a stable, hard wood that combines well (amazing sustain) with the hog top. The Blackwood is beautiful, and perhaps some day in the future I'll regret not getting it. The Grand Concert size and shape is very much to my liking. Suits both the plectrum and fingerpicking that I enjoy. I'll still play my GS mini a lot I'm sure, it has great sound. But it's nice to have a full size guitar with, let's face it, a more complete guitar profile. Lastly, the icing on the cake is the ES2 pick-up. Nothing else I've tried comes close to the pure guitar sound I get plugging straight into the amp, or the recorder. Love this guitar.

.I'm no Eric Clapton, but I really do like to play. This guitar plays well, sounds incredible and makes me sound better than the "hack" I know I am. The sound definitely turns head when I'm playing. Great tone and feel and it is an incredibly beautiful instrument.

.Guitars tend to come and go because I like the inspiration of change. This guitar, however, will never be released. It is superbly accurate in intonation and very balance throughout the entire scale, I love the short scale and am gradually moving toward having only under 25" scale guitars. I have found my practice is more efficient not having to adjust to a different scale every time I pick up a different guitar. My Les Paul of choice is now a Gibson LPM which his an almost identical string width and length. The workmanship is superb on the 322. As stated in the promo, it has limits on its tone which allow it to blend well. When I get myself to sell off another guitar or two, I may get a second Chaylor short scale that has a spruce sound board for times I want a broader frequency spectrum. For certain, it will have to have an ES2 pickup system. I never thought I would love the sound of an acoustic through a pick up, but the 322 recorded via its ES2 puts a big smile on my face every time. It is awesome, and that's why she is mine for life!
