Product description

Delving deep into Fender's rich heritage, the American Vintage series instruments give players of today an opportunity to experience the legendary tone, feel, looks and quality of classic Fender instruments from the mid-1950s to mid-1970s all without the vintage price tag. Through extensive research and utilization of the same tooling machinery as Fender's original instruments, the American Vintage instruments offer faithfully-recreated, vintage-accurate replicas of some of the most coveted guitars and basses in Fender history. From thinner, more authentic-looking lacquer finishes to period-correct neck shapes and specially-voiced pickups, the American Vintage series instruments are sure to take you back to the good ol' days.Seven years after the birth of Fender's first solidbody electric bass guitar in 1951, the world-renowned Precision Bass first appeared in a now-classic 3-color sunburst finish. Thanks to exacting measurements and features on the original '58 models, everything about this P-Bass screams vintage. Available with an alder (3-Color Sunburst finish) or ash (White Blonde finish) body, the American Vintage '58 Precision Bass comes dressed in a flash-coat lacquer finish that provides superb resonance and classic appeal. Holding true to the old-school feel and performance of the original '58 models, the 1-piece maple neck is carved into a chunkier Large C profile and comes fitted with vintage-style frets and a vintage-style heel adjust truss rod. The neck also carries a bone nut an authentic original-era design element to deliver great tone and exceptional performance.Painstakingly designed and crafted with the original pickups in mind, an American Vintage '58 Split Single-Coil Precision Bass pickup dishes out all those powerful classic Fender bass tones that made the originals legendary. This faithful re-creation is tied together with period-correct appointments and hardware, which includes a lacquer-finished gold anod
