This is a Gibson Les Paul SG Standard Authentic with 1961 specs, special ordered from the Gibson Custom Shop in 2005. This was the only year for the Les Paul SG Standard Authentic model, and this may be the only Left Handed guitar from this special run.
The guitar is 100% Original and in Near Mint/Investment Grade condition, with only very slight wear to the frets and body, looks new. The guitar was played sparingly by its one owner and then spent the rest of its life in the case.
Features Gloss Cherry finish, Nickel Hardware, Stop Tailpiece, Tune-O-Matic bridge, reflector cap knobs, small guard, beautifully-figured rosewood fingerboard, Burstbucker 1 & 2 PAF reissues, featherweight at 7.1 lbs. It even has a correct Left Handed trussrod cover, “Les Paul” in the correct lefty orientation!
This particular guitar is loud unplugged, and is extremely resonant. I’ve found SGs to be hit or miss - this one is obviously a winner! The neck is very comfortable(see specs below). I would say it’s on the slimmer side, but not too thin like the early 60s Gibson, which could be in the high .7s at the 1st fret.
Specs:
Serial Number: 050262
Neck PUP: 8.24K
Bridge PUP: 8.15K
Neck Depth: .85/1st fret; .95/12th fret(semi slim taper)
Weight: 7.1 lbs
The SG includes everything that came with it as new, including the Gibson accessories bag(tags, instruction cards, polish cloth, cable), along with the hangtags, warranty booklet, COA, and OHSC(Gibson Custom case, which is as clean as the guitar).
Gibson is hardly making any higher-end Left Handed guitars anymore, so here’s your chance to grab a rare killer SG which plays and sounds amazing!
