I can't believe Fender would put out a case with no padding inside.. Just hard styrofoam. I wish I would have returned it, but I didn't won't to go thru the hassle.. Not worth the money..

.I bough this case for my Alvarez Nashville style Telecaster and it was a perfect fit. The case was a new but scratch and dent case with one hinge lock spring that did not work. I called Fender customer service to buy a new hinge and the helpful guy said let me see if we have them. He came back and said I'll send one out to you..... NO CHARGE!!! You gotta love FENDER!!!!

.I have, too, bought the Fender cases by themselves and they are far superior to this one, especially in the handle area where someone had pointed out. If you feel the inside corners of the case, they are "crunchy," and the cases are manufactured in Vietnam.
They cost a little more, but I'd recommend you buy their "good" case.
I'm somewhat disappointed in Fender's shortcuts on this one. I have two that had come with my new guitars.

.This is a fair deal. You get what you pay for which is a nice looking case with a beautiful Fender logo on the outside of it. My stratocasters (I tried 3 of them) all fit very snug. The center inside support feels like it's made of styrofoam. I had to shape it a little bit for the guitars to fit.
This case is great for light use and storage. It would not hold up for constant gigging and travel.
No weird smells like other cases.
Good hardware on the outside, with locks.
