Product Description

Hello everyone! To celebrate the 50TH anniversary of the Monterey Pop Festival in 1967, we have a beautifully hand painted and clear coated made in USA Monterey Fender Strat! This guitar is a rare1997 made in the USA Fender California Series (which is absolutely perfect for this paint job because of the vintage tuners, mid sixties transition logo, and vintage bridge just like the original Jimi played and burned at the Monterey Pop Festival in 1967). The guitar even started out as a Fiesta red strat (Just like the original) before it was sprayed with white, then meticulously hand painted and clear coated. I would call the guitar a mild relic because there were dings, paint chips, scratches to begin with (It is a 20 year old guitar after all). I upgraded the pickups to Fender Custom Shop 's to made the guitar sound even better and more like the original! The last few photo's show the "Kiss The Sky" tribute band who uses all my Hendrix hand painted guitars live on stage all over the country and are amazing! Check them out when they are in your town. Due to everything involved in the guitars design, many hours go into this attention getting instrument. The last few pictures are of other custom painted guitars available.
