Slimline electric classical guitar formerly owned by Larry Coryell. I have to admit that I do not have as many facts about this guitar as I do the 12-string I am also selling, nor any performance info or pics/video. The picture of Larry taken by me the day I was given these guitars was to document their proof that were indeed his and he was transferring them to me. The reason is - at that time he was with Cort guitars and although we all know that endorsees use whatever the heck they want, that was not true with Larry. When I accompanied him to NAMM 2002 in Anaheim, Ca., the Cort booth was emblazoned with pictures of their endorsees and Larry was their top of the line, being of his stature, the "Godfather of Fusion" (others were Hiram Bullock, Joe Beck and Mordy Ferber was there as well.) He had a more strict contract and they obviously paid him more, but when Eric (the head of U.S. operations) had his terrible car accident, that all changed. If you know who I'm talking about, then you know I know. Larry eventually went to Washburn for a short time, then to Parker ... I had a prototype from Parker too but that went back to his wife Tracey (my ex!)
So that's about it. It's not signed by C.W. Kaman II as the 12-string prototype is nor by Larry, but the picture is worth a thousand words. As with all the Coryell things I will be offering, they are untouched since Larry gave them to me, meaning his dna is there, along with used or open packages of strings in the case. Although I play guitar and have for 52 years, I wanted them left as the master himself left them....
