I am impressed for the price. This is a basic no frills guitar. Everything is put together well, no sharp frets, neck is fitted well to body, metal plate for the bolt on neck. Knobs and switch seem solid so far. The pickups are even decent, nothing great, but better than I expected, honestly. If you don't like them the guitar is plenty worth dropping the pups of your choice in it.

The paint job is nothing special. I can see the overlap of the spray on the back, like it could use another coat or two. But for a hundred smackers, who cares. And the front and neck look fine.

Heavier than I expected for basswood, the body is fairly thick, like an LP. Doesn't bother me, but if an LP is too heavy for you, you might not like it.

I got this because it was cheap and thought I would slap some huge strings on it and use it for some alternate tunings and maybe slide. Also to just do crazy stuff to it that I wouldn't do to my other guitars. I will do those things because that is what I bought it for, but this is a solid guitar.

Bottom line? Solid basic guitar. For the price, 5 stars all the way. Can't go wrong at this price and for twice the price or more.

.This is a perfect guitar, not mentioning the price. Buy it, I dare you.
ESP EC10 Electric Guitar Satin Black
.This guitar have an unique sound. I love it.
ESP EC10 Electric Guitar Satin Black
.May be improved by 3/4 inch longer string length, a wider fret board, and proper controls (tone-volume for bridge pickup, tone-volume for other pickup and switch moved to horn on other side of strings. All of which could be corrected for a few hundred.

Seems like a suitable guitar to have around just in case others want to play in an impromptu jam session where they didn't bring their own instrument. It looks good enough to take onstage but at this price one wouldn't panic if a drunken novice picked it up without asking.

.I bought an LTD M10 about a year ago and love it so much that I bought an EC10 too, planning on slapping some humbucker-sized P90s in it for a different tone. Here's the details on how DIFFERENT these two guitars are, despite appearing more similar at first glance.

- Headstock shape; just personal preference. I prefer the 3+3 design of the EC (functionally).
- Scale length; the EC has a slightly shorter scale length (24.75" vs 25.5") than the M, making it somewhat easier to play, especially when performing wide stretches and chording. Bends are easier due to lower string tension. The longer scale of the M I believe contributes to superior tonal qualities.
-The EC has a painted neck back to match the body. The M has a natural satin transparent finish. Personal preference, but I prefer the transparent finish for the more natural feel.
-Both guitars have a 350mm (13.7") fretboard radius, which is somewhat flat, but not extremely so.
-The EC has 24 frets, while the M has 22.
-The M has slightly better upper fret access since the body shape is less restrictive of fretting hand thumb placement.
-Both guitars have TOM bridges, but the M is strung through the body, whereas the EC has a stop tailpiece. String thru designs are lighter and arguably provide more resonance, but the tailpiece is adjustable, allowing you to raise or lower string tension.
-Slightly different control layouts, particularly with the pickup selector; a blade on the M vs a toggle on the EC.
-EC is slightly heavier.
-Strap button placement affects strap retention and where the guitar hangs. The M retains a strap better and sits "closer" (further right) due to the horn, providing easier lower fret access. The EC has no horn so it sits "further" out (further left), naturally guiding the left hand towards the middle of the neck.
-The EC sounds beefier, but muddier. The M has clearer but a BIT thinner tone.
-The M is made in China and the EC is made in Indonesia.

Hope this helps you decide between the two.

.Tone/vol knob too high, as your picking hand will strike it now and then. The truss rod cover is nearly impossible to remove, silly as it sounds.
ESP EC10 Electric Guitar Satin Black
.I wrote one review before i got this guitar, and now i finally got it and i can tell you what i think. Very good product and sounds and plays very well. The only thing i had to do was raise the bridge higher cause there was some fret buzz on the 3d, 4th, and 6th string, and that solved the problum. Other than that it plays and sounds real good. I even got a ESP case i ordered after i got the guitar and it is made just to fit my EC10.
ESP EC10 Electric Guitar Satin Black
.Good for the price. I have only been playing for a week now and I like it. Had to get the neck adjusted but no big deal.
ESP EC10 Electric Guitar Satin Black
.I have got just about every name brand guitar there is but not this one. I have got Epiphones, Gibsons,Fenders,Squiers and all kinds in pretty colors too. I always wanted a ESP but could not find a good price on one. Then i saw this one and read the reviews, and it sounds like it is a nice good playing guitar and really nice for the price. I wish they had some other colors instead of black. That is alright and do not have a black guitar at all. Long as it is a ESP i do not care, and this might be what i need to add to my collection. I am going to get this with in the next week or so and i hope it does the job for me.
