Product Description

The Tortex jazz guitar picks were carefully designed and manufactured to give the characteristic maximum memory and minimum wear that made the original tortoiseshell picks famous. The small size and sharp point make it the most precise plectrum on the planet.

I have been using these smaller Tortex picks for better than 15 years. They are excellent for the size, shape, texture, and flexibility. When I use alternate picking techniques I appreciate how these picks get me close to the strings and find standard size picks too large to be comfortable. If you are accustomed to standard sized picks these may require an adjustment period but I'm willing to bet you will be pleased with the outcome. The smaller size and close proximity to the strings also facilitates improved pinch harmonic techniques for me. I have no plans to use any other picks. Thanks Dunlop!

.While a little limited in the range of strumming motions, the control that the pick offers for single note runs is worth the cost. The heavy and medium picks seem more appropriate to the design than the light option.

.These picks are perfect. They do not wear down, and if they do, it is slowly and evenly, so that you are not caught with any jagged edges catching your guitar string.

.I first tried these picks when I ran out of jazz IIIs. I figured since I knew I liked the feel/comfort of tortex standards and the ease of use/compact size of jazz IIIs that these would be killer..and I was right.Bottom line: If you want a comfortable, easy to grip pick for anything from lightning fast metal to jazz and blues GET THIS PICK!p.s. some people have said that these were hard to get used to because of size and it took a little bit of a "different approach" to do pinch harmonics..i found neither issue to be a problem

.Since a fellow guitarist/friend of mine introduced me to these picks, I've used nothing else since. Any problems you might experience with a bigger pick are virtualy eliminated. For the player who's looking for more speed and accuracy, I definitely recommend these. You won't be disappointed.

.I have been playing since age 13 (now 55) and have always used small picks....started with the small Gibbo ones in medium. Then one day the music store I worked in part time had some of the Tortex jazz in stock. I tried one and have never used anything else for electric guitar since.I must say I do modify all of them by using a paper punch to put a 5mm hole in the centre of each pick.....this greatly improves the grip and gives a subtle change of stiffness to the pick. The pick just gives each note a clear attack and deffinition that other picks just don't have...I buy up as many as I can find as they are quite rare in UK....nothing else will do .

.The heavy jazz tortex is the best pick I ever used. The tortex is the best finish and helps to bring out the tone. The sharp point allows for very fast playing

.I have been using these picks for about ten years and love them. Of all the accessory guitar crap out there, this is the one thing I would recommend to a guitarist immediately. Most guys think they're too small, but once you get used to them they make a huge difference in feel and playability. Your fingers are that much closer to the strings and that makes for more control. If you haven't tried them, get them, then use them for a week and try switching back.

.these picks are perfect, they are small so that you can hold them just right and move them while you play. The sharp tip is very nice for intricate playing and technical runs. The powder is nice for a while, but then it disappears. For chord strumming, they may not be the best, but I would never play with anything else.

.Great picks for lead guitar....the only picks i will ever use....
