I just got one for my daughter-in-law's little sister. I also have a Gibby LP Jr Armstrong Sig. I had to trot my Gibby down to the luthier to get it right. This baby is right, right outa the freakin' box! Get one and you're happenin'. Go find a band and rock. It's that good.

.Overall an excellent guitar for a beginner or someone looking for a base for a project. Good quality, and good tone for the price. If you can put together a few more bucks I would go with an SGR by Schecter, but you really can't go wrong with the EE-Epiphone-e Les Paul Junior.
Not much as as far as features. One pickup, volume and tone pots, tuners. Its about as simple as a guitar can get, but its expected in this price range.
For the amount of money you pay, the EpI LP Jr. is built very well. Bolt on neck, very sturdy. Very reliable. The only fault I found here are the tuners, where there is much more to be desired. I suggest replacing them soon after purchase.
This is where it really shines. There is no better new guitar for under $150 out there. The only thing that competes is the Squier Stratocaster, which I find to be pretty lifeless. The LP Jr has some "umph" to it, coming from its single humbucker. Some might argue that since there is only one pickup, the range of tone is lacking. The tone knob is very useable and you can dial in different tones using the EQ on your amplifier.

.Got this for Christmas 2012 as I wanted something to tune open for slide. Got the sunburst finish which, when you see it, is unbelievable.Plays really well and didn't have to do much setup other than change strings. The stock ones were horrible. Thought what the heck and took it to the first gig this year.Tonight will be the fifth straight gig with it.Growls beautifully but turn back the volume a smidge and it cleans right up.Turn back the tone knob and it mellows it right out.Never did get to tune it open and play slide but I will. I have always been a Gibson player and just loved having Gibson on the headstock. Two years ago I bought the epiphone 58 flying V and thought I'm spending a lot less money and getting a really good guitar but was a little leary of the Juinor. I mean c'mon I paid about the same for my starter guitar way back in 64 and It was'nt this nice. I don't know what pickup they put in this thing but It just screams. I have been playing classic rock before it was classic. about 45 years and have had all kinds of Gibsons,Fenders, and Rickenbackers and still do and will always love my Les Paul, but this little baby is a real standup guitar and a whole lot easier on my aged back. Will change out the tuners as they don't quite hold tune like Grovers or Klusons but I have a spare set. Will change out the nut for sure as it is plastic and will not last. Other than that I can't find anything wrong with this guitar. Would like to put on a P-90 pickup, but I like this one. Guess I'll just have to buy another one and put a P-90 in that one. I love this guitar alot!

.Cheap, High quality, almost as good as it gibson big brother.
Even though theres only 1 pickup in the bridge you can make it sound like a bridge, middle, or neck pickup or different combinations by simply turning the tone knob, so dont judge this guitar by the fact theres a single pickup.
Solid built!! it has a bolt on neck (which i preffer) of course. Alot of people say it doesnt keep tune, but i stretched the strings and then tuned it up and played till it went out about 3 times and now it never comes out of tune!! I'm not going to say it matches the gibson model 100%, it obviously doesnt THERES AN ENTIRELY DIFFERENT PICKUP!!!! But this guitar is surprisingly close to its big brother. Its stock adjustments are almost perfect! i keep the volume at 10 and tone at 7.5-8 and plug it into a brite input and thiis thing ROCKS!!! and im putting a P-94T pickup in it so it has a p90 just like the gibson, but im going to get another and leave the stock 700t in it because its that good.
You get so much more than you pay for!!

.I'm no expert but have been playing for a dozen years or so and gigging regularly for the past year; I play in a two-piece acoustic cover band. I had shopped around for almost a year to buy a cheap and reliable electric to mess around with and work on some solos -- glad I found this one. Haven't found anything I dislike. Will consider doing a few upgrades here and there but the guitar is very adequate stock. I ran it through a Frender Frontman 25R and it sounded great clean and with some gain. I smile every time I think about this guitar and look forward to playing it frequently.
Single humbucker with one volume and one treble knob. The guitar isn't about features, it's about playability. Comes with cheap strings that have to be changed immediately. Tuners feel a bit loose the guitar stays in tune relatively well. Heritage sunburst on my model is gorgeous. The neck has a nice shape and slim profile. Not too heavy, not too light, very comfortable to play sitting down.
Quality control must be up to code, mine (along with several others I've seen at stores) had no issues out of the box. Frets were dressed well, no issues with paint, neck is straight and action was fine. Plugged in and got to work, no issues.
I received a tremendous price on this guitar, so to own a guitar that plays well and looks great, this should be a no-brainer if you're on the fence about buying. Plays a thousand times better than an old Squier Strat I had laying around, which I traded in to get this guitar. You also get the support from EE-Epiphone-e with a limited lifetime warranty.

. Purchased this guitar for my 9 yr old daughter to use playing Rocksmith. She has taken to it like a fish to water. I've had no issues with it staying in tune and it is a very attractive guitar (Sunburst). It is basic with the one pickup, but for a first guitar and its' pricing it is more than satisfactory.

.I've read other reviews claiming the tuners are cheap and need replacing to keep the guitar in tune. This is certainly not a problem with the instrument I bought. The single bridge pickup performs wonderfully. I bought the Cherry color, and it is absolutely beautiful! The picture on the web sites cannot show this guitar's true beauty!
For this guitar's design, it has all the features it needs.
The quality of this EE-Epiphone-e Les Paul Junior is excellent! After the strings stretched for a couple of days, this guitars stays in tune very well! It has the finish and construction of a hand-built instrument. The neck joins the body perfectly. The finish is flawless.
I bought this guitar from Custom Guitar's Friend for cheap! How can you beat that price for such a great-sounding and beautiful guitar?

.I always wanted a les paul special so I used my backstage points and got a sunburst special for about six and a half clams. Yup that's correct about six and a half clams. Guitar ordered on Wednesday arrived on Thursday. ( I'm not that far from Kansas city). As with other reviews mine has fret buzz on both E strings at the 5th fret. Relief measured at the 7th fret is less than .003 and as always this guitar is claimed to be 100% inspected and set up in the USA by #7 at epiphone. So I will do what #7 did not do, change strings, do a proper set up, then correct the fret buzz. These guitars are produced in China and for the most part are pretty good with the fit and finish. The tuners hold tune, the fret ends are dressed. The pickup sounds good and crunchy, the tone and volume is even across all six strings. Tone and volume knobs rotate with smooth resistance and function well. Plug in jack has solid connection. The compensated bridge tailpiece has a small nick in the low E string position left of the proper string placement and has no bering on its function. The post screws show dings from either mechanical placement or hand screwing. The intonation surprisingly, was spot on. So there you go, if your capable of doing your own guitar tech work and like me want to leave your good guitars home, or want a platform for your latest Frankenstein guitar, I will highly recommend this guitar.

.I wanted an inexpensive guitar to slap some 12s on, raise the action and open tune for slide, so when I saw this guitar on MF at a two-digit price, I bought it. No regrets at all. In fact, I can't believe you can get this kind of quality for this cheap! I've had this one for 2 weeks now and put the heavy guage strings on it and raised the action, and this thing is still fun to play, both regular and slide. The fit and finish is surprisingly well done;; I have no complaints there. I expected to have to do a fret level and file down sharp edges, but no. That was fine. The pickup may be the best stock Epi pup I've heard yet....very surprised there. (I have 6 other EE-Epiphone-es, all modded) The tuners may be the weak link here because they just feel cheap, but hold tune reasonably well. I'll swap those out eventually. The neck is a pretty sweet soft C profile and plays really well. Despite the light weight, the guitar is well balanced and not neck-heavy at all. All in all, for this amount of money you should have one of these too! Great addition to my stable.
