All that And a bag of tricks...
The 1964 Epiphone Professional is a Kalamazoo built Immense quality Guitar with a proprietary Amp. Plays exactly like my 61' Gibson ES 330 T.
Low and Solid with a stinging great tone and a lot of range on the tone knob.
The guitar itself has onboard switches and knobs that controls the amp. The Guitar and Amp together perform seamlessly to produce Great tonal range as well as incorporates onboard effectsz. Pretty good for 64' ! AND...
The original owner had a nice metal amp controller made by a well known amp tech I forget right now. You can use this amp with full effects without having to plug the professional Guitar in. This frees up the amp for any guitar you want to use, and It's a great sounding amp. Nice clean till 7 then it gets a little bit evil.
1964.. a bold move by Epi for sure, but it's rare as it gets to find now as these didn't stick around long.
Also, if this wasn't special enough already..
Theres an extra vintage pick guard for when you want the same great Gibson 335 style guitar with a different amp. (I have a great floating pickup system I sell and install for adding second pickups to your one pickup guitar with a 2nd output.)
There's still a lot I have to learn about this rig. I plan on playing it more in the next couple days and will report on the experience
